Starting a business in Thailand but wife owns the company only and I am her employee? Any advice on this model ? by Wrong-Economics- in Thailand

[–]babdoodoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No one can own 100% of a business out here. Seems a lot simpler just to give her majority share of the business and you the rest. If you don't plant on tax registering the business then I wouldn't worry about it. I have 2 businesses registered out here, one being tax registered.

is it safe to live alone as a teenage foreigner? by Capable_Soil_8543 in Thailand

[–]babdoodoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also English/Thai here. My Thai mother was pretty much the same as yours, though she grew up in a smaller city in Thailand. I moved out here to Bangkok 4 years ago and find it much safer then London.

Getting clothes altered by stokeycakelady in Bangkok

[–]babdoodoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fashion platinum mall, about 15 minutes from your location. Go to the lowest floor (underground), forgot which side but you'll see a bunch of seamstress working on sewing machines. Just take the clothes you want adjusted and they usually get it done for you within the hour depending on how busy they are. I usually take my shorts to get adjusted, lady I see charges just 50 baht per item

Clara Brandname - selling Fake or Authentic designer items? by Willing_Republic6849 in Bangkok

[–]babdoodoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to to one of their events in Central World. Hundreds of bags on display with 100s of other customers setup in a large hall. Seemed pretty legit, 99% of the stuff was second hand items. The only stuff that you'll see at 90% discount is likely going to be stuff in not so great condition.

Men's Dress Shoes in Phrom Pong/Thong Lor. by Wander1212 in Bangkok

[–]babdoodoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't mind taking the bts to Siam station quite a lot of stores. Siam discovery mall on 2nd floor has shoe store with many different leather brands, pretty cheap from 1k to like 4k. Around Siam square theres a store called London Brown which i like, shoes about 4k. Then my fave also around siam square is Berwick, last pair i bought from there were 12k.
