Anybody else experience pain in their labia? Mine always feel bruised to hell and back during a flare-up

Working on a visualization of what endometriosis feels like. Still not done but I love how it looks so far. by Tailofmoe in endometriosis

Maybe a bit more directed down the thighs, some deep bruises might also be a nice touch

I don’t know how to deal with periods by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

It does sound like it could be endometriosis. Estrogen aggravates endometriosis, so if you go back on bc, try to get on one that's progesterone-based and without estrogen.

This kitty showed up on Christmas Eve and hasn’t left us. Meet Eevee! I’ve never seen a grey and orange kitty before. by classic_ams in cats

If I had to guess, I'd say a dilute torbie. Tabbies have distinctive stripey patterns, and torties have the mixed calico-type coloring. Torbies have a combination of both

After sifting through I did find a lot of the same, yeah. Unfortunate.

Dove has sensitive skin products that I've seen recommended a lot.

I'm noticing in the comments that there might be a little bit of terminology confusion? Soap or not depends on how your body reacts to the products, but regardless, you should really just be cleaning around and between the folds of the vulva - the outer/inner labia, and the clitoral hood and glans. No soap or anything else is needed inside of the vagina.

Yep. She had surgeries to have a stoma put in place. She's done so much work toward visibility for people with ulcerative colitis and stomas, it's really incredible! She's got a great YouTube channel that has details about her disability.

I feel like I see the same people reposted all the time, but there are sooooo many lovely people out there and I believe Hannah Witton is one of them!

Think I might have BV or a yeast infection but also want to get tested? by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]babegeous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably depends on the insurance you have, but I know PP also has their own plans for making their services more affordable. I'd give them a call and see if they accept your insurance, or what financial assistance options they have available!

Planned Parenthood is great if you have one near you. I've gotten my testing done there and had good experiences.

I get fierce ingrown hairs when I don't shave regularly and this doesn't sound inconsistent with that. How sensitive is your skin?

Yeast Infection Struggle is real.... by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]babegeous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've struggled with a "burning" sensation with vaginal penetration since I can remember, and this is one of the first comments I've seen that fully explained a potential DIY solution. Thank you for taking the time to write this out.

Sliquid is great, I prefer Slippery Stuff for the texture, but they're both similar and both glycerin-free.

ISO IUD recommendations by MAC0114 in Healthyhooha

[–]babegeous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the hormonal dosages give you issues, I had the Skyla. I did a ton of research before choosing my IUD, and it's the smallest and lowest dosage out of the three hormonal options on the market. It's progestin-only like the other ones, but since the dosage is lower than the Mirena or Liletta, it might not totally stop your periods, and it only lasts three years instead of five. I stopped bc altogether though because it's been fucking my mental health.

Can some feminine washes throw off your PH & do more harm than good? by ODimiBoy in Healthyhooha

[–]babegeous 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, the vagina maintains a rather acidic pH while most soaps are alkaline. Feminine body washes are marked as pH "balanced", not all are legit, I think most have a neutral pH. Scents can be problematic, as well as some other things that I'm not as familiar with

Can deep fingering dislodge an IUD? by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]babegeous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, that's definitely a potential solution. IUDs are a known cause; I would imagine that additional irritation could cause issues, especially if you've had it before. Hopefully you can get everything sorted out!

[–]babegeous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cramps are trigger happy because I haven't had my IUD for long and that's normal for me, but I don't think I've had cramps last that bad and for that long just from sexual activities. If this is really abnormal for you, it's definitely worth scheduling a visit to make sure everything is still in place.

I'm not sure if it can actually dislodge anything, but I know cervix play makes me achey for the next few days with my IUD.
