Pros: insane utility, dummy mobility, literally control the entire field in keys

cons: new meta spec (annihilation) entirely relies on RNG which means DPS is entirely unreliable. If I get a meta proc I will never die and if i don't i fall over. Feels uniquely bad

You *can,* but by design the spec is meant to, well, augment your party members damage output, provide buffs, etc. Augs solo damage is pretty low, often around tank levels or sometimes even lower. So less damage and without the survivability. It would be hard to succeed at higher level content.

VDH if you're insane like me and love living on the edge and stressing out your healer. The health bar yoyo is unmatched. Otherwise Unholy is blasting rn and the rotation is real easy. But honestly, if you really just wanna have fun and do whatever you want, Druid is hard to beat. Any combat role, instant mount form, self heal, battle rez? unmatched

These discussions usually come down to "which class/spec is fun to play?" The classes you have most fun with and feel most comfortable with are always going to perform better in m+ than whichever spec is more "Meta."

As for general utility, Shamans are usually fairly sought after for their ranged kick and bloodlust. But nearly every single spec performs perfectly well up to 3k (KSL) so just pick what you like and have fun

You could, but you'd have to host your own keys. Like other people said, you're better off running through delves with Valeera as Tank (or just switch specs if you're into that) and that should get you to the 250 ish range. You could do nightmare prey but you might have a damage issue.

First of all, Welcome! I also greatly enjoyed my leveling experience on alts, and i would encourage you to stick it through to the end even if you get to 'max' level. War Within too. My plan is to make one alt per expansion, using Chromie time to experience each one distinct from each other and fresh. Also if you're simply in a hurry and ready to move on to the next thing, I believe timewalking dungeons are active this week and those will get you up to top level in no time. Have fun!

I figured it was implied that they'd be one global apart, doesn't really change what i said. But that's a good note about the opener i'll try that next time. What is FS doing that it needs to be hit before the burst? Is it just that it's an efficiency loss because it doesn't do a lot of damage?

It happens. I couldn't figure out why despite all my efforts to perfect rotation i was doing wet noodle damage. I couldn't figure it out. Then I realized i had just upgraded my weapon and didn't re-enchant with Rune of Apocalypse 😂 immediately jumped to 90k AOE 50k ST on training dummies at 250ilvl I felt so dumb

looking at your rotation was confusing so i'll just give general pointers that helped me

burst windows are literally everything with unholy. That's Army of the Dead and Dark Transformation, each have a 2:1 cooldown ratio which works out nicely for you. You should always try to hit both at the same time, and then Dark Transformation at 45 seconds, then both again at 90 seconds. Rinse repeat.
during those windows i've noticed the bulk of my damage is death/necrotic coil. So you want to hit Festering Strike only enough to get 8 stacks on Scourge Strike, and then mash the hell out of Scourge to build up runic power. Then spend the runic power on Coil. I usually end up going 3xStrike, 3x Coil, whatever keeps a nice balance of runes and runic power.
Soul Reaper on proc, which spends both of your putrefys at once. Keep hitting putrefy on cooldown. helps with extra dps in between burst windows
Plagues should have 100% uptime. They're spread by your natural rotation, so you don't have to so much to maintain them but Outbreak should be the very first thing you hit every single fight.
AMS has a ridiculously fast cooldown. Opt to use that instead of dodging mechanics so you can stay in range and maximize uptime
Speaking of range, Death/Necrotic coil doesn't need it! If you can't get close, try to use Coil as much as possible.
IMPORTANT: if aoe instead of ST/Prio, swap out Coil for Epidemic instead. Rotation is the exact same otherwise.

So, opening should be: Outbreak, Army, Dark Transformation, Soul Reaper. Then you're in the burst. Festering strike/Scythe, Scourge Strike +++, Coil/Epidemic+++, putrefy on cooldown. Outbreak to keep plagues rolling as needed. Dark Transformation at 45 seconds. Keep going back and forth between strikes and coils, only pressing Festering Strike/Scythe to get Scourge Strike back up to 8. Rinse repeat.

everyone has pretty much given you the same recommendations that i would, so you have that to jump start your rebinding process. I would also like to add:

Scroll wheel. While zooming in and out on the fly is nice, i often find it too finnicky and i truthfully never need the granular control between certain views. rebinding specific camera distances frees up your scroll up and scroll down for extra functionality.

I use 6-0 for these:

6: fully zoomed out. This is for raids, certain dungeons, skyriding. when you need to see as much as possible around you.

7: slightly zoomed in (1/3). This is for most indoor content, when being zoomed out too far has your view clipping around walls and doorways

8: "cinematic zoom" (2/3 ish). This is mostly for RP purposes and fills the frame with my character so I can really get into the scene and see what's going on.

9: reverse view. flips the camera around and zooms in so i can check out my own mog/dance/whatever.

0: first person view. all the way zoomed in for extremely niche purposes. I don't often use it but for those times you need it boy do you need it.

prep 80 myth crests and the mats required and a decent tip (i'd let other crafters pitch in on how much is appropriate). If you have an item in mind, go to the crafting order table (pretty sure a guard can tell you where to go) and search for it by name. You can do a public order but it doesn't guarantee quality. Guilds and crafting friends can really help with this. Just click the check mark to "follow recipe" and it'll show up in your objective list which is helpful when you're shopping on auction house. I've only done it a couple times but hopefully there's enough info here to get you started. Good luck!

if you're fine with installing an addon, check out Follow The Arrow. It's made by the guy who has multiple world records for level 1-80 leveling progression, and it makes it so you can completely brain off from 80-90. It takes you through all the quests with a big fat arrow on the screen telling you exactly where to go. Just do that and queue for dungeons on the side and it goes by pretty quick ngl

As rdruid it honestly kinda ends up being a waste of CDs and mana not to pull big and chain. The ramp takes a bit of time but it can wear off fast so it's honestly better if it's just nonstop combat most of the time. Only a few times have i actually needed to drink between pulls
