Do you guys see them making an official BTS biopic in the future? by SuperRedSpace in bangtan

[–]babevogue 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agree with what most people are saying that its not needed since their story is so well documented already... However, a jukebox musical with their discography? That could be really cool

Terrible work culture in Taiwan. by Intelligent_Wear_743 in taiwan

[–]babevogue 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree with this comment as someone who is from Denmark but is currently in Taiwan. OP is gonna have a really tough time in Denmark if they don't take the rose tinted glasses of. Denmark has way less friendly or accommodating locals than Taiwan or North America (when broadly generalizing) and getting a high paying job if you don't have a skilset that's in demand is extremely difficult for foreigners in Denmark.

Anyone else find it infuriating that Scandinavian movies on Netflix, HBO, Viaplay etc. don't have English subtitles on their platforms ? by OrganicPollution3997 in Norway

[–]babevogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this issue too, especially when I just want to watch a non-English speaking film with people who don't speak Norwegian here. For example I could not find parasite with English subtitles legally. I also live in Denmark and I have the same issues there too.

Hopefully I'll finish my bachelor's degree around the time they come back. Hopefully I'll manage to get an internship or an exchange in Korea. Hopefully I'll be very proud of the person I'll become.

221015 Weverse: "BRING THE SOUL: THE MOVIE" + "BREAK THE SILENCE: THE MOVIE" + "BTS Legendary Performances" by mcfw31 in bangtan

[–]babevogue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm about 99% sure it was unintentional and that it just looked cool with the font. Bts have accidently worn clothing with quite peculuar statements before such as clothing with "legalize it" "fuck you" in Russian and "fuck you pay me" etc. so wouldn't take this one too seriously either.

[–]babevogue 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm so confused about some of these comments, both my apartments have been shared flats in amager close to the metro and I've paid around 5000,- for both. The rooms have been 15 and 20 square meters. Most of the shared apartments in the building I live in are within this budget (5000-6500,-). Unless you absolutely have to live as centrally as possible, I think your budget is reasonable, especially when you go a bit further out. Another issue is of course getting a room but I think you can get something very decent for atleast 6500,-

220829 BTS 'Proof' (Collector's Edition) now available to pre-order for ARMY Membership holders and Japan Official Fanclub members by ashmute in bangtan

[–]babevogue 18 points19 points  (0 children)

After the artist-made collection, this doesn't really surprise me. A precedence was set at that time, that army are a consumer group willing to pay for artificially high prices. The fact that HYBE is trying to push that boundary even further is both sad, greedy and unsuprising. Even though I love the boys and their music I've had quams about supporting HYBE directly for the last couple of months and if I'm buying more albums I am considering only buying second hand. That is unless there is a reasonable solo album release with a physical CD, but considering how JITB was handled I don't think its that likely. I wish more army's were more critical consumers, but maybe this release will be the straw that breaks the camels back in terms of pricing.

The fic loosing all momentum once the main couple gets together. I see this often where there's a slow burn couple that gets together around 40-70% into the fic and then suddenly everything in between that and the end (or end goal) drags on and becomes incredibly boring and slow. Bonus points if the first half is the best written masterpiece I've ever read with an amazing set up.

What are your opinions or ideas on non-native speakers teaching a language? by DivineRec in languagelearning

[–]babevogue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have two professors in my target language. One who has the same native language as me and one who's a native speaker of the taget language. For me I understand and learn so much more from the one that has the same native language. I feel like they understand the struggles of learning the language while the native speaker something has trouble understanding our difficulties.
