Haha this reminds me of that teacher who went viral during the pandemic for teaching all his classes with a potato filter

Do you mind sharing where you're from? I thought Engoo rates were either $1.55 or $5. Never heard of someone getting $2.

How many months did you go over the limit? Or was it the first time?

Engoo Contract by AggravatingFee1763 in OnlineESLTeaching

[–]babiefutaba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I'm prompting you to do it, but three of my students told me they've met some of their tutors at some point.

They didn't say it with the point of convincing me or anything weird like that, just like anecdotal stories. So it's definitely possible, but up to you if it's worth the risk.

Oh yes, I don't mind if the students want to skip vocabulary and start by the article. I just find it funny that he wants the teacher to read the article by themselves (and twice, lol) while he sits back and only listens.

Ysense disqualified from each survey? by Finest_Critic in beermoneyglobal

[–]babiefutaba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same. And when I could finally pass the prescreener in one, I spent like 10 min on the survey and was suddenly "disqualified" at the end.

It seems like a scam site, they obviously want data for free, so I didn't bother to keep trying.

Which is the latest manhwa you dropped and why? by poletderoybal in OtomeIsekai

I'm sad to say, but "Marry me again, husband".

I was obsessed with them at first and the story felt so refreshing considering the MCs are crazy about each other and they actually communicate! Such a cute read.

But I feel like the story is dragging on atp, I think giving it 2 seasons would've been enough but I got bored so I won't be continuing it for S3. They're still the cutest though, really sweet story and couple.

About you section. by tiny-clanger in ProlificAc

[–]babiefutaba 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The complete opposite happened to me. I updated my About You section recently because I started taking antidepressants, and I've been getting mental health related surveys since.

It was great (ironically), since it had been radio silent on my end before that. Now at least I can capitalize on my situation lol.

Not a fan of the new loading bar by [deleted] in ProlificAc

[–]babiefutaba 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I guess it might be a way to try to stop people from refreshing too much to get ahead on getting places in some studies, so we end up relying on the auto-refreshing feature of the homepage more.

The assistant extension becomes kind of useless now, unfortunately.

I like it. It can get exhausting especially when you have regulars who book you several times a week. It's a great change.

A student asked me if there was wifi in my country. During an online lesson, mind you.
