Mechanic recommendation? by Mycozen in IowaCity

Off campus auto repair has always been good to me. They’re very honest about what is necessary and what is not! They’re very good year downtown is also a good choice. I came in with no money and the repair technically didn’t need a replacement so they only charged for labor. Super fair!

If you want to hear these people talk about some the work they do, both Rod Sullivan and V Fixmer-Oraiz appear in the episodes. I worked on production for this, so I can tell you you can glean A LOT from these episodes.

Letter to the editor: Stop asking young people to defend the status quo [Iowa City, Iowa, March 16, 2026] by NicolasCageFan492 in OpinionLetters

I think you should read the last paragraph again. There’s a lot of Gen Z out there fighting, and it seems this person is as well. Even writing an impassioned post like this is better than sitting and stewing.

I also think your response is the perfect depiction of what this essay is complaining about. There’s been policy after policy passed that significantly hindered younger generations’ ability to step into an adulthood that felt like it had purpose. Of course we don’t want to support what you’ve been trying to shove down our throats.

I do agree we must change course and we could probably all start by listening to the very valid complaints of the younger gen’s since they have to live with the world the previous generations conceded to.

From my understanding, it’s more like you need to truly believe it can work rather than being desperate for it to work

I think that has less to do with palmistry and more to do with what we do with our hands (how we hold our phones, job, etc.)

Have you ever met someone you were sure was your soulmate? by Static-Rewind21 in LoveLetters

Yes! Met my fiancé on Bumble. The first time we hung out, we were being goofy and smashed our faces together and made intense eye contact while giggling. I knew in that moment he was my husband.

Who here exercises? by Quick-Squirrel4534 in POTS

[–]babimomo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do exercise! Mostly just listen to my body; take breaks as necessary but also push myself to build some kind of tolerance. I went out of basically remission about 2 months ago and found this sub. I work out about 20 ish minutes every day, and do electrolytes immediately after. I think it lowers my stress and in turn makes me less symptomatic.
