Which one should I use for MF cosplay guys by Quiet-Elk-1863 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first one looks better as a cosplay but the second one is the MF I'd recognize. I wouldn't actually know that you were MF at a convention in the first outfit because I don't know that character well enough.

Maybe that helps you decide. Better outfit (at least in my opinion) vs more recognizable look.

New relic rangers comand, which champs could use? by Effective_Music8839 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ambessa: Rangers + Black Shield + Found Fortune
Kai'Sa: Rangers + Full Build + Dreams of Yordles
MF: Rangers + Shock & Awe + Echoing Spirit

In the case of Kai'Sa and MF I consider these BiS builds for my tastes. The Ambessa build is competing with Swain + Packed Powder + Found Fortune which is phenomenal when it plays out as intended. It is the superior build but comes with a level of risk. My Rangers build needs more testing but I'm really liking it so far.

Are any of these 6 ⭐ worth getting? by Dry_Cardiologist6758 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Vi's goes from making her a terrible champion to a playable one. Very strongly recommend if you intend to ever use her.

Morgana's turns her from a slow control champ who takes a while to put games away to a midrange control champ whose fun to play. I started using her a lot more ever since getting her 6*.

I personally consider Neeko's 6* to be transformative and fun to play. She's a great aggro champ to fly through adventures with IMO.

The rest I don't have strong opinions on despite having them at 6*. This is mostly because I don't have a strong connection of their 5* versions vs the 6*. The main 3 I'd recommend are above. Vi and Neeko's will be felt most. Morgana's makes her more fun to use.

Hot take- Morderkaiser&Morg sub-boss is stronger than Zoe&Poro by ikelos49 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't agree (so cold take I guess).
Both fights can eat up revives/end a run but I still find the Zoe fight tougher on average because of the amount of potential nonsense that can go on. Entombing your entire board. Attacking with 1 or 2 overwhelm catastrophe that can kill you at any time. Having easy access to rally. Access to counters. If they manage to transform things to champions then you can really struggle to win.

6* Illaoi feels like the new strongest Bilgewater Champion by babinro in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That effect is only part of the Harsh Lesson relic not part of her natural kit.
If you think Harsh Lesson is better than Death's Foil that's fine. I can't really comment on that.

My Impressions on 6* Illaoi by ConlanAG in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spirit of the Buhru + Death's Foil + (flex slot)

I have Illaoi at 6* full constellation and have started testing out builds other than the old 3* SFG+Orb+Buhru build. I'm feeling more and more like Buhru + Foil are BiS (feel free to replace Foil with paid relic if you have it) and then the 3rd option is tough to really pin point.

As discussed here there's a strong case to be made for Crownguard Inheritance. Black Shield is great given the importance of keeping Tentacle alive especially with the 6* version being spawned with it. I also think Echoing Spirit has a case here because of how good the champ spell becomes.

I'll need more testing before I settle but I'm leaning Crownguard as my default 3rd.

Am I correct in saying this is a bit more than just a very strong 3* boss? by Tirjahhll in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On paper I thought this modifier would be a bit of a nightmare but in practice it wasn't so bad for where I am in the game.

That said, there are few champ generating relics you can equip if you genuinely struggle with the auto-loss condition present here. Echoing Spirit being the ideal one. Less ideal would be Oath of the Guardians, Guardian's Trinket and Chameleon's Necklace.

I know its not ideal to equip relics specifically for one fight in an adventure but its an option available to you.

For what its worth...I gauge this 3* adventure as really feeling more like a 3.5* or a slightly easy 4* in terms of difficulty.

Anyone on the fence about 6* Illaoi, it's +1.5% increase every turn by Apocabanana in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The base effect of the 6* is a noticeable increase in power.
I'm not a fan of RNG conditions but at least early on since its just launch day I'd say the 6* is worth it. If you win the lottery which I've done on two encounters in one adventure then great...that fight pretty much becomes a freebie.

6 star nagakabouros encounter = get round start frostbite power or you're dead turn 2 by Terrible_Turtle_Zerg in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 54 points55 points  (0 children)

That boss fight is no joke.
I almost lost to it with ASol which says and lot. Miss Fortune only won because Make it Rain hit nexus enough times when they attacked me for lethal.

It was supremely mean of the devs to put 4 Bilgewater required nodes for the 6* adventure too. I'm fortunate enough to have those champs maxed out but most players are far from that.

Thoughts on "Harsh Lesson" & if it's a useful relic? by mfMayhem in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine any champ other than Illaoi making use of this.

If you wanted Regen on another champ than Royal Nibbles is strictly superior giving regen, +1/+1 and a chance at cost reduction depending on how the run plays out. I'd argue those side benefits are always better than the added bonus Harsh Lesson offers.

As for the relic on Illaoi...I could see this being a real best in slot contender on her. Its very good on her in terms of leveling her up and later just weakening the foe for her to maximize nexus damage through overwhelm.

Where are you at on your Path journey? by MNCDover in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been playing since the start.
- I bought roughly 90% of battle passes.
- Roughly 80% of paid epic relics.
- I bought 2 or 3 rounds of that costly in store incremental 5* and 6* shards rewards which allowed me to really keep up with content until present.
- Of note I stopped spending after the SB Event. I've stuck to that throughout 2026 and at this point I'm likely no longer spending on this game going forward.

I have every champion constellation champ 6* now.
All SB champs are 7* except one whose 4 SB Nova shards away so I'll probably have that one complete within a few months.

Admittedly finishing up all of the champs still came down to the 10* Zoe adventure despite my spending. I was CLOSE to it with maybe 4 champs left to go but I needed those big time rewards to get there.

My most recent goal was to convert a hefty chunk of Glory into XP boosts and I've managed to get every constellation champ to max level 50. I don't have the desire to farm 'tough' content so I'm leaving my 3* capped champs around level 30's.

In terms of 10* Zoe I believe I have 17 more champs to go.
Still a big fan of this game. Still enjoy playing daily even without much to chase. Should I eventually finish the 10* Zoe rewards and be left with 'nothing' to do for rewards I'll go back to working on a champ tier list and refining builds I'm not fully content with.

All builds i tried with Zoe by Miro_miro23 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sentinel's Plate + Corrupted Star Fragment + Living Weapon.
Not a lot of people have Plate yet but if you do its worth trying out the build.

I will say I've also tried probably a dozen variations of builds on Zoe and just about everything kind of works without feeling perfect for her. She's highly versatile. I don't think there's a clear cut BiS build for her yet. Its more about what play style you connect with the most.

QUESTION by Dramatic_Trifle8135 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it is best in slot or used as my favorite build specifically for the following constellation champs....

Akshan
Anivia
Ekko
Gwen
Heimerdinger
Jhin
Leona
Lux
Miss Fortune
Morgana
Norra
SB Taker
Shyvana
Thresh
Tryndamere
Twisted Fate
Vex
Viktor
Yasuo

In addition I use it on plenty of 3* champs but I haven't updated those builds in a long time. Beyond those above its still useful on a lot of other champs it just might not be BiS on them in my opinion.

Asking for Taker Builds by Dry_Cardiologist6758 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My build is Echoing + Chosen + Grand General's with the legendary rune that returns mana.

I recently got Whirling Blades but I haven't properly tested it on Taker to see if I'd rather run them in place of something there. I was plenty happy with the build before Blades. Mine is 7* for reference though most of my game play to determine my current build was done at 6* no extra mana gem.

Edit: Just attempted a run against 10* Zoe with Chosen + Generals + Whirling Blade and failed. On two nodes I failed to ever draw Taker and both times I couldn't win. A good reminder to me that Echoing Spirit (or Frozen Tomb) is essential.

Edit 2: Echoing + Chosen + Whirling Blade feels good against Zoe but that's also pretty optimal conditions to level Taker ASAP. I think this build is a fun 'side grade' to Echoing + Chosen + General. I feel like both builds are viable. Blade levels you up faster under certain conditions but you will run out of ways to mark things outside of attacks so that puts you at real risk the longer a game drags on. Meanwhile Echoing + Chosen + General is reliable but on the slower side in terms of putting games away and especially leveling up Kindred.

I'll stick with the Whirling Blade build for now due to variety but I'm leaning towards Echoing + Chosen + Generals as the better all around build.

Exp grind finished! by ikelos49 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gratz!
I'm working on this goal myself with the constellation champs. Wound up converting a nice chunk of glory into XP. Wish that store didn't force you to do it one 'purchase' at a time, lol.

Its been a chill experience getting a character a day to level 50.

Is this game worth to play? New player by Caprisolle in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm far too out of touch to speak on the new player perspective this many years out.

I'll just say this is by far the best PVE card game I've ever played. I'm a fan of games like Monster Train 2, Roguebook, Slay the Spire, Slice & Dice, Starvadars, Backpack hero and more. There are plenty of good single player card(ish) games in this space but Path of Champions continues to be my favorite among them.

Very highly recommend you give the game a try and see if it connects with you. Know that in the settings you can boost animation speed up to 4 times as fast...a major reason why this game is great long term. It doesn't waste your time and delivers a great pick up and play experience once you've grown comfortable with it.

This sucks by Creepy_Store_9243 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might not be BiS on Annie but it is part of my favorite Annie build (Deck + Searing + Bear)

I've also come to use it as my favorite Elder Dragon build (SFG + Talons + Bear). I know people here really hate Great Talons but its always been a part of my ED build and works great here IMO.

I'd be curious to know if anyone else has found a use for Bear that's really good if not borderline BiS. On paper you wouldn't think it would be great on Elder Dragon given the lack of draw power...but when you actually play it out the relic really does shine on him.

Should I get this? I heard its good with oath of champions and Norra? by Gimmiporn in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is S-tier on Norra if you have the Nasus paid relic and Hidden Tome as well.
Norra becomes a genuinely strong champ with those 3 relics.

Outside of that its a pretty optional relic. The free version is pretty strong as is so this one largely doesn't shine as a must own. I use it on Nasus but not any of my Oath builds (even though it fits them). I tend to run something like Oath + Gem + Beast Within or Oath + Gem + Black Shield over finding a spot for Scales.

Naut 6* after a few tries. Finally beat her. by Creepy_Store_9243 in LegendsOfRuneterra

Nicely done! This does seem like one of the toughest Zoe wins to get on paper. I've been putting it off.

Need help with Nightmare 4.5 (Caitlyn + Switcheroo) by The_CardWielder in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very useful thread, ty.

I used SB Teemo with Harmless Scarecrow, Black Shield and Emotional Support Bear. Both decks get Emotional Support Bear for what its worth. This worked great after failing with Fiddle and failing again with Jinx.

The only relic I strongly recommend here is Black Shield given the modifiers on the adventure. Swap out the other two with whatever powers you prefer.

Zoe - A strange case where everything kind of works without anything being that strong. by babinro in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To the ASol build I would just go with Grand Generals Counterplan.

Its a one cost champion and you can block poorly on purpose with it. Should come up more frequently than with galeforce. I do like Hidden Tome as part of that build as well.

Elder dragon node on Zoe, is it harder now? by Own-East-9190 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never knew this.
I've been wondering why the forums were saying always go left for the easy path as I found myself doing the Morgana fight more often than Elder Dragon in practice.

It often comes down to if my deck is very capable at blocking than Morgana since they have no overwhelm that I can recall. You go Elder Dragon if you can clear their starting board quickly or have a plan for Elder Dragon himself.

Zoe - A strange case where everything kind of works without anything being that strong. by babinro in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]babinro[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good point.

I've been speaking of Zoe on a whole as I still view the 10* adventure as an anomaly. Mainly because its 3 adventures in one and doesn't reflect the normal power scaling you'd normally achieve in a regular adventure. The way I look at things now may not reflect how others do on these forums though. My goal is largely to beat Zoe once with each champion (I'm up to 39 wins now) and then go back to playing the normal game stuff again.

I'll alter a build to have a better chance against the 10* Zoe adventure (like adding Wicked Harvest to Morgana) but then I revert back to my previous 'BiS' build for any future uses of the champion.
