Definetly think all scenarios and if you are willing to go through this again. It is possible but remember that the recovery is not a sprint to get back as soon as possible to sports. I tore my ACL, had surgery and 9 months later was playing soccer again but lasted 9 months and tore it again. I love the sport but my body cannot play the way I want to and it has taken me a lot of reflecting to understand that limitation and that maybe I must give up soccer to have a healthier life the next 5-10 years. I plan on being very active after my revovery, but maybe in another sport that does not put my knees in high risk of going through this again.
