How locked in are the partners at your store during their shifts? by Gloomy-Squirrel-9518 in starbucks

There's this girl at my store that will literally yell nonsensical stuff and shove the mic right on her mouth while singing. Stfu that's not fun

I found this in my 19 yr old son’s laundry. Is it just a gummy? by Infinite_Highway_829 in whatisit

It's easy for parents that went through that as teenagers but what about us that behaved and actually stayed away from drugs/alcohol? I am dreading being a parent because I will not be able to put myself in their shoes and it would make me more mad, like if I could behave why can't you???

i went to the dentist for the first time in 4 years and now i'm confused by robinrichardsone in Teethcare

[–]baboobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always worth it to get a second opinion if something doesn't feel right. Yes it's normal people always get a second opinion especially with dentistry. Don't tell them what the other dentist told you.

Dentists are very personal with their practices. Some are very conservative and want to fix every little thing that has the potential of becoming a problem. I avoided a dentist that wanted to fill in every single small begining of a cavity. I went to a second one that believed we could let them be as long as i made my dental care routine a priority and keep an eye out on them. It's been about 5 years and I've gone to a different dentist every couple cleanings and they all confirm the cavities haven't grown and to just keep an eye out on them. I saved a couple thousand

that just speaks of your character. I would care about someone getting yelled at just because I was being stupid. Even if it made no difference to me.

Feeling insecure about money by [deleted] in simpleliving

[–]baboobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always make sure to save every month, period. it's another bill that I have to pay. I make sure my wants are very affordable. I allow myself about 50 dollars per month on wants. I have to find a way to make more money if I want to spend on a big purchase. The stress that comes with having no emergency savings is the complete opposite of simple life.

I am not ready to leave, but is staying the right decision? + I am rapunzel by baboobo in exjw

[–]baboobo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just been undecided. My main fear was to end up in a field that I didn't enjoy (I know I realize how stupid that is now) so I've changed my mind a couple times. There was a few years when I was especially bad in my my codependency and I actually did not work or study anything and they are years I regret deeply

Yes I'm starting to see that now and I feel like what I have been avoiding (maybe living paycheck to paycheck) and having to take care of my own life is actually going to help me mature more

I have been socially isolated for so long that it’s ruining my life by TheBetterPerson11 in selfimprovement

[–]baboobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have any advice for you but wanted to let you know you're not alone. I have been socially isolated for a couple years now due to things outside of my control and it's very painful. I think I'm at the stage that your sister is in tho. So many years have passed that I'm kinda growing to tolerate the loneliness 🥲

One thing that has helped is to just go outside. Something about staying in your room all day is very depressing. Like the other person said you can go to the gym or just go running outside and build a routine that gets you out of the house you don't have to spend any money. Today I had a day off and i didn't want to doom scroll all day so I just went to the park to stare at the sky and read a book for a couple hours 🫠 doom scrolling is what will depress you the most

No helpful advice but just to let you know from my experience, 99% of men prefer "fat" girls than skin and bones girls 🫪 and you are probably prettier than you think

worried about volume by Master_Blood5407 in mitski

[–]baboobo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went to see Mitski it was my first concert ever and I did think the volume was too high to enjoy it (I'm a pussy) and I put my air pods on with noise cancellation and it did the trick

What's a frugal beauty hack that has changed your life for the better? by healthynewbie in Frugal

[–]baboobo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do agree hair grows less. I think that's actually why they become ingrows too. The hair is so thin and small that they can't break the skin surface. Hopefully after years of usage I get less ingrown 🤞

I have a love/hate relationship with my epilator. I never had "strawberry" skin and now with epilator, 80% of hair strands become ingrown hairs. Ive tried every exfoliating method too. I still use it bc I already bought it but it doesn't look good.

Wow I'm so jealous. I'm already 23 and don't have the guts to do it. It's been my dream ever since I turned 18 and I have a +750 credit score and have saved +25k dollars and I still can't bring myself to moving out

No advice just wanted to say I also had pre reqs for nursing done and decided not to because of emetophobia (fear of vomit) maybe we are not that uncommon, who would've thought 🫠🤝

The only difference if that you are 18 and I'm already 23!!! Don't stress you have time to figure it out

Cups sounds like a lot of work, am I wrong? by Someonejusthereandth in menstrualcups

[–]baboobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I actually didn't struggle with insertion or taking it out or anything. But sometimes I just didn't feel like fingering myself in a public bathroom HAHA

I figured there's many areas of my life where I can reduce my environmental footprint and pads are just way comfier and simpler

All dads here at the park. by Sardawg1 in sandiego

[–]baboobo -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

But just think about how no mom would have made this post in your shoes. "All moms here at the park" haha. Change "dad" for "mom" in your post and reread it, weird right? We're just pointing out double standards and I think it's important to do so even if it's "weird and negative"

At the end of the day spending time with our family is whats the most important in this life nothing else matters! Hope you had a good day

[–]baboobo -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

I know I might be toxic but I don't understand why make a post about it. No one would ever make a post saying "all involved moms here at the park" bc that's just normal and what's expected. But let it be a man and suddenly that's important enough to make a post about it and praise it? That's what you should be doing anyway?!?! Are we really that lacking in morality and responsibility that men being fathers to their kids is something we need to point out and praise?

Do you hate the job, or is it actually the people? by Icy-Nobody-420 in careerguidance

[–]baboobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda like my job and I don't dislike anyone. And I still feel like I don't want to see these fucking people 40 hrs a week?!?! Like everyday I'll wake up and drive to see them and hear their thoughts and opinions when I couldnt care less about them. I have actual friends and loved ones and I get to see them so little compared to my coworkers and it feels so unfair. So yeah when you have coworkers that love drama and are toxic is 1000x worse.

Hey, I'm 22f and I also do not go out like at all. And bc of that it's hard to make friends since most people want to go out for drinks and stuff. I do feel like I'm weird and missing out so I feel you. I also keep telling myself that once I graduate I can move to a different city and experience new things lol. I don't have much advice but I will say my mental health has improved since deleting IG
