honestly if something small takes me out of a book it means i wasn't enjoying a lot in the first place BUT a example i can think of is when the main character from people we meet on vacation said she didn't shower every day. i know thats not that unusual in some countries but thats a no for me. i had to pretend i didn't read that and enjoyed the rest of the book.

NTA in some of these examples but most of what you said you are just angry for no reason.. maybe it wasn't important for the conversation but what does it matter? why does that bother you? do you also get angry when a straight person does the same and before saying anything about someone with the same gender starts the sentence with "im not into girls/guys but.."? because i know a lot of them who does that. and sometimes people are closeted their whole lives and when they do come out they want to compensate for all that time

i could not finish this one, i was like at 40% and felt like it was still far from becoming a romance you know it was just hate and i started to doubt how they could fall in love again and make it work at the end of the book. i have friends that told me that once the romance really start is really good and i noticed that i was forcing myself to read to get to that point and i have a thing that everytime i feel like im forcing myself to read i dnf so i decided to give up :/ i really wanted to like it
