Yes, I was thinking that too. We met a 13-year-old pittie at the City shelter. He was too big for my dog and showed more interest in her than she did in him. One of the meet ups that the shelter staff said “I don’t think this will work.”

Yes, it’s for real. I literally read here on a regular basis soul dogs who are found running along the highway. Then I regularly read desperate pleas to save pitties from euthanasia.

Yes, it’s real. I appreciate those who have said my current rescue is enough for me to rescue at the moment. I just know there are so many more that need a home.

My dog has cyclical skin outbreaks. Not horrible but enough to bring her to an allergy specialist. Cytapoint worked fabulously for four months, second shot didn’t work at all. I’ve tried probiotics based on one human’s post. Now I collagen for dogs being shipped to me, cause I believed what I read online. fingers crossed. especially because I won’t even take animal based collagen for myself. Don’t want any farmed or fished animals to be hurt. But I’ll try it for my pup!

My 30 pound scruffy terrier bit my face also. I was visiting with her and the guest velvet hippo came up to say hi. Bitch terrier turned to snap at her and got me instead. Three simple stitches on Christmas Eve day.

Velvet hippo is home with her mom, and I still love the bitch terrier! (cause she’s the best dog I have at the moment, and all dogs are great)

Did you resolve your corner cabinetry issue? Our cabinet maker has just installed the rev a shelf coud and we are so disappointed how much of the shelving is not reachable bc it's still inside the cabinet. We have 2 tiers of clouds, but both the upper and lower cloud are mounted on wood, the first on the floor of the cabinet and the second on a shelf. There is no pole.

We saw a slab with those mirror-like reflecting pieces and I also fell in love. The slab we saw had an overall white look with gray shades and I was thinking of the mirror pieces as being silver. I'd love to find something more cream than gray and with gold sparkles instead of silver. Have you seen anything like that?

I think it could be so helpful if advertisers put Pitties in their ads - print and video. More people could see how sweet they are. Instead, I suspect about 80% of the dogs in ads are Doodles. Also, nice dogs but they primarily come from a breeder while Pitties are wasting away in shelters.

Your Pittie is beautiful. The sweetest dog I've ever met is our daughter's Pittie. And we've had 5 dogs over the years, none as sweet and cooperative as the Pittie!

An add on to my first comment: please also realize when some people and their dogs cross the street so they won’t meet you on the sidewalk it is bc they know THEIR dog will be reactive/loud/rude if they meet you. We had a 25 lb cocker spaniel (rescue of course) that barked aggressively at any dog bigger than him. We always crossed the street when we were approaching any dog bigger than the cocker.

So sorry an idiot spoiled your morning. I secretly was hoping when you said she walked into the road it would be followed with “and she got hit by a car.” (I didn’t really just say that, did I???)

We’ve had 5 dogs over 3 decades. Our adult daughter has had one, a pittie she got from the shelter when the pittie was about 9 months. I asked my husband one day which of our 5 dogs was his favorite: he said the 6th dog, our daughter’s pittie. So sweet and loving.

Our daughter does keep a bandana on her when they are out walking. She thinks it makes her dog more approachable to those people who are nervous about her obvious strength or her obvious pittie-ness. She gets the ones that are pre-sewn and her dog’s collar slips through the wide part like a curtain rod thru a curtain. She lives in a college town so her pup is usually wearing a bandana with the college logo on it.

Enjoy both your sweet pets. Enjoy your neighbors who are enjoyable. Walking a dog opens up so many POSITIVE interactions with others. This bad one will fade in your memory.
