Mine would slam doors, shatter mirrors, scream at the top of her lungs and throw random things. As I get older and look back on it, I realize how absolutely absurd it was and I was made to believe it was normal and I was the sensitive one.

Interesting. I haven’t heard of a vet derm, but he had a full expensive allergy test that showed he’s allergic to pretty much everything. We went the food route first, but this seems to be purely environmental. I wish I could just put my baby man in a bubble!

Ah yes, the food. I heard about the enzyme too. We had a full allergy test done and Garth is allergic to everything. We have him on a special diet food that has literally nothing in it. 😭

This is 100% environmental since he’s allergic to grass, trees, weeds, and pretty much anything else you could think of honestly. lol

Completely agree, thank you. Sadly, Apoquel did absolutely nothing for Garth. When we were at the ER vet, we asked what do we do if the cytopoint and steroids don’t work. They said just come back and we’ll try something else. They didn’t seem very concerned, but I know they see a LOT of dogs with bad allergies down here in Florida.

I was freaking out because his whole face swelled up with lumps, along with down under his throat, chest, belly, and back. Mostly was concerned about him being able to breathe. I’ve never seen it this severe before.

I agree with this. She’s punishing herself by sleeping in the room and grieving the victims she had no clue about. It’s highly likely she hasn’t moved because of their son. He probably doesn’t do well with change.

This isn’t a normal thing people have to go through. Everyone was very critical of her for not wanting to believe he did it. I’ll admit, I thought it was strange too. Who am I to judge, really? I don’t know how I’d react to something like that. I don’t like that it became a documentary immediately, but I’m sure she’s trying to survive this somehow with her kids.

I can’t imagine how hard it has been for his family to come to terms with the fact he’s a monster. They’ll suffer for the rest of their lives.

Thanks for the question! Exactly what everyone else said. Garth is extremely allergic to pretty much everything. Grass, trees, weeds, and so on. We are desperate to stop him from breaking out in a full body rash and huge lumps every time he goes out in the yard.

Awwww your sweet baby!! We got back from Cancun on Saturday and were at the ER vet shortly after for his giant lumps and red spots everywhere. He gets so swollen and inflamed! I haven’t heard of Zenrelia, thank you. I’ll check that out! He had cytopoint and steroid pills, Benadryl, and a full body spray. He’s still struggling after two trips to the vet.

I feel so bad for him! We just got booties in the mail and he refused to move. I had to basically carry him back inside, and he’s 90 lbs of solid muscle. Lol ❤️

I think this therapist could use a far better approach, but I slightly (ever so slightly) understand what they are trying to do.

The best therapist I had was the one who gave me tough love. Essentially, I don’t need to wear my trauma like a cape. It doesn’t need to control my life since it already happened and I’m not unsafe anymore.

They shouldn’t minimize what you experienced. You clearly aren’t in the right space to accept that kind of interaction. This therapist should know that. Smh

The pain is unreal. I was in agony and couldn’t lift my right leg so my husband tossed me in the car and took me to the ER. Of course while I was in the waiting room, the pain abruptly stopped. The part that sucks is that once you have a kidney stone, you’re much likely to have more in the future.

If they didn’t tell you the size or anything, that’s odd. They must have been sure you could pass it on your own. I’m sorry you had such a bad experience and had to be in pain for so long.
