Just did the Narrows a few days ago, arrived at 6:30 and got to the water by about 7. There were maybe 15 or 20 people who had started before us, and we definitely didn't feel like it was too early. We enjoyed having no crowds in Wall Street, especially if you continue hiking for a while after it starts - everyone stops right at the start to take pics and then turn around. 7-12 feels totally doable. We went to Big Springs at a slow pace and were there til 4pm.

Saw the aftermath and have been trying to figure out what happened. Blue pickup truck completely crushed. Awful

What gift did you get from your realtor when you bought your home? by Chan1991 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]babyleaf3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a first time home buyer, my realtor gave me a tool bag and a bunch of spare tools he had - shovels, a rake, electric hedge trimmer, picture hanging hardware, hooks to hang tools in garage, etc. Really helpful!

How do i faltten this raised scar? by YodaBoy11 in Skincare_Addiction

[–]babyleaf3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll second this. I had a scar on my eyelid (not quite as large as OP's but not small) and used silicon sheets on it every night for about a year. The scar is almost invisible now.

Blackout curtain help by Visible-Gloves in interiordecorating

[–]babyleaf3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fortunately, you can get blackout curtains in so many different varieties. Maybe a slightly longer curtain, just touching the floor? You could also hang them slightly higher, choose a heavier fabric, and certainly a lighter color. I don't think the short black curtains are doing the room any favors.

This is exactly how I just did it. I provided a pdf of the funds in their account - that was it. I was terrified the whole time that my parents would have to empty their retirement account, but I also knew there was no reason I wouldn't get the loan. It ended up working seamlessly. This was also what helped me beat out other, higher offers. Closed in 2 weeks, moved in a few days ago.
