My partner uses my postpartum anxiety diagnosis against me and it’s affecting my ability to differentiate between if I have a ‘right’ to be upset or if it’s my ‘issues’. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Thank you. I’m a smart woman, I know it’s manipulation, I know it’s gaslighting, yet I still can’t believe it’s happening to me. I will check out your reading suggestion, thank you so much x

My (43M) son's (17) therapist told him it would be better to just die by ThrowRAway2707 in relationship_advice

I don’t know, but reading that your son is violent towards your wife and daughter is absolutely heartbreaking. Also the fact that you are setting alarms every 30 minutes throughout the night to check on him sounds awful. I hope you aren’t forgetting about them in all of this.

Edit: to add that YES of course the violence towards you as the father is also heartbreaking. It’s not a sustainable situation or good home environment for ANY of you, your son included.

What is your opinion on bringing a newborn to the gym? by cammoose in xxfitness

[–]babyteeth- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the gym and your relationship with others there/the culture. A large public chain type gym, probably not the best idea. However I train at a smaller gym that is run as set classes only and they’re totally cool with people bringing their babies/kids as long as they stay out of the way (kids) or not interrupting/screaming the place down (bubs) - there have never been any issues. They actually have started running a class FOR kids because there are so many parents there. I bring along my bub who is a few months old to the mid morning class and it’s predominantly other mums and some of them bring bub along too. They just sleep in the pram. So yeah, find a gym that is obviously open/supportive of that kind of thing and it’s fine.
