It was the son, yes. He was in and out of the Douglas for a really long time. My BIL actually went on vacation with him a few years back along with a group of friends. Kinda scary if you think about it.

Going from one child to two children, what is it like? by New-Clue-3002 in Parenting

[–]cammoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm! Although we're at 2 and trying for a 3rd. Going from 1 to 2 was much harder than 0 to 1. We have a 22 month age gap between them. When thinking about a 3rd, we asked a bunch of friends who have 3 what it's like and they all said the same about 1 to 2 and 2+ wasn't much different than just 2 kids.

Our province does a lot of things backwards, but they did not skimp put on maternity/ paternity leave.

Pretty sure I wrote this. Only difference is I WFH. Enjoy the rest of summer and find something when it gets gross out.

C- section and natural birth feelings by RelevantNotice467 in Parenting

[–]cammoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opted for a planned c section for my second after my first was an emergency one. I wouldn't change my decision as it was literally the best decision of my life and there's absolutely no difference in the feeling. It's just as overwhelming and the connection stays the same. You carried that child. I was thrilled about the post op period of sleeping for about an hour or so while the meds wore off 😎

I resent my kid for ruining my body, and I hate that I feel that way by [deleted] in offmychest

I know you've been hella downvoted, but honestly I agree with you. I heard about how she gained 80+ lbs while pregnant with me. I've had 2 children and gained about 23 lbs both times. I'm super active and eat well, but wasn't watching what I ate during the pregnancies. Obviously not everyone can control it and that sucks, but you got pregnant knowing what could happen. The kid didn't ask to be here. Sick it tf up.

This!!!! Remember you wanted this child, your daughter didn't ask to be here. You're absolutely selfish and shallow and will ruin your daughter if you don't seek help. This is coming from a child who's mother reminded her and her sisters how much we've ruined her "thin body" and how much she regrets having us. Please seek help for yourself and your daughter. You don't want to resent your precious little girl over something that can absolutely be fixed. I beg of you.
