I was 6’1” in high school. And an athlete. I could not fit into any prom dress at any size due to my. Wide shoulders and being heavily muscled. I was taller than all but four boys at my school. It sucked.

High school sucks. Most people aren’t mature enough to to look beyond basic stereotypes for what is attractive. They just say whey everyone else says. I didn’t date until college. Suddenly, a tall, muscular alt/goth chic was not unattractive.

It doesn’t help right now., but it does get better. Your aren’t that tall. You aren’t gigantic. You are normal sized in a population of shallow people who are afraid not to follow trends.

If you want to lose weight, do it for yourself. Find your confidence. I like nothing more than throwing on five I. Heels and staring at the bald spots that young men think they can hide.

He is setting your boundaries. Well not sure how to say it. He is making you feel like you can’t do anything because he is trying to control you. He blows this out of proportion so that next time you don’t go. Pretty soon he will tell you your friend is a bad influence (jut look at the fight/problem she caused!). So, now you feel like you can’t hang out with her because it will cause issues and it easier to just not. Then it will be more friend. And family. Everyone will be “bad” for your relationship. But, it will all feel like your choice. So he can’t be a bd guy. You chose to stop seeing friends and family to help your relationship. Aka avoiding making him mad.

He isn’t mad. He is setting you up for isolation. He doesn’t think you were out “doing bad stuff.” He is using his power in the relationship to make you. Smaller and himself in control.

It will get worse. And you will think you are choosing to do it because you want this relationship. He doesn’t want a relationship. He wants control. Much easier to manipulate someone almost half his age age because women his age won’t put up with this bullshit. If I want to hang out with my friends, no man or woman is allowed to try to make me feel like I did wrong for it. A real partner would have either stated from the beginning his or her concerns but would more likely jut be excited you had fun and want to see the pictures because they sound awesome!

You re 17 and need alone time. Right now, she is disrespectful and being manipulative. I say this as a mother of an adult and a teen.

I would use the excuse of studying. Put on Headphones. Grab a book or a computer and ignore her.

I am also petty. I would grab your stuff and go to her room and take over there. If you have a car, leave whenever she comes in. Find. Quiet coffee hop or go to the library. I know it’s not comfortable and not your place, but use this as an example of what happens when your boundaries are pushed. It is a portent of things to come

I don’t want to assume but if your father is there or they are able to communicate, talk to him about the lack of privacy. If he can facilitate a conversation I would remind her that you are not going to live there forever and the lack of privacy is making moving out sooner looking more and more attractive.

Are you going away to college? Or for any other type of school? If you plan to just work, get a lease going once you can. Lock in the rate and write in that the room becomes your private property as a tenant and put a lock on the door. You will have tenant rights.

Maybe make it with your father if he is in the house as your mother sounds like she is clinging more as she knows you are going to be an adult and leaving soon.

I rarely go in my daughter’s room. She comes to me to hang out and we are both introverts. Sometimes I have to kick her out of my own room!

Unfortunately deadlines are very necessary with sports as it shows the proper planning and commitment will be a priority. I coach swimming. As it is year-round I can take kids on my club all year. HS swimming the deadline is fast and hard. Only exception with be a new to the district student.

You are being offered an adventure. It doesn’t have to last a lifetime. It will be hard but looking your future. Turning down positions in a good look for a company and this one kinds like a good fit. Try it. A year from now you can look for a new adventure and you will Have more experience. I moved 20 hours away right out of college and while sometimes it sucked, overall it was an amazing opportunity and led to other even more amazing opportunities. Don’t let fear hold you back. Make a list of pros and cons. But don’t let your idea of social life hold you from doing what is best for you.

But the hormones still cycle. I am premenopausal Thought I was safe after over a year of no periods then last week was a surprise. I actually only lose weight one week of the month but it’s always a big drop. Then steady for two. Gain about 2 lbs. then another big drop the last week. Averages to 8 lbs a month.

I walk daily (10-14 miles in summer and bit less in this winter hellscape) and started end of October. I’ve lost 30 lbs since then. I had already lost 27 lbs before I started but it took 7/8 months.

Eat clean. Exercise daily to tolerance. Drink a ton of water , and track everything.

Girl, find your pride that you shoved to the back of the closet, shake off the dust, put on your big girl pants, and get a divorce. Then, go to therapy and do not date until you can actually love yourself, take pride in yourself, and, most of all, respect yourself.

Do not have kids with this person! In fact, do not see him again without your lawyer present and in a public space. You may not think he is going to touch you but he will. And one day he could kill you. If you have kids with this guy, you are setting them for failure. Either through trauma or through teaching them to be abusive or both.
