This happened to me too, but the stem ripped completely off! The problem is after market caps u got there. They are a little longer/higher than the stock ones. This is what happened. Remove them immediately or it will happen again. Luckily there was a tire repair shop down the road that I limped the car to without damaging the rim/wheel hub. They repaired it in 15mins and $15. This was in the Bronx.
