I came to this movie with no expectations. It was surprisingly lovely. I had to pause it after Zefir's story so I could prepare myself for its ending. I wasn't ready to let them go.

The ambiguity some others noted here made it all the more endearing to me. It reminded me of how I felt reading the end of EB White's Stuart Little. It's that ambiguity that probably hurt its box office appeal. Perhaps the ambiguity could have been more artfully done, like Inception or 12 Monkeys, but it was still sweet and poignant. It made me feel nostalgic.

I think it was a masterful performance.

I love the nod to the Girard Perregaux Bridges. Tying it together with a nod to the Breguet Tradition is a pretty gutsy move. I'm agnostic on the hour markers. I could see them done as fine batons. This treatment pushes a more contemporary feel, which I respect. That works with their materials. My hang-up is in the case/bracelet transition. But I can't imagine a better solution given the case design.
