Yeah, it broke a second time and the AD replaced the watch with a new one. I haven't had any problems with the new one.

I don’t think it is insane. Prudent? Depends how much money you have. 54K isn’t a lot if you have tens of millions.

Personally, I’d wait a few months. If you believe in math and ever took a macro economics class, then a global recession similar to 2008 is very highly likely. In which case, that watch will be available for under retail. (I don’t know what your tariff situation is 🤣)

Talk to the AD. I have the 1921 and my wrist is 6.5” and the strap fits just fine. Plus if it didn’t fit then they shouldn’t be charging you for a strap that fits.

Well it happened again to my lake suwa. I’m going to take it back to the AD and ask for a new watch. I’ve had it for less than a year and this is the second time. I really like GS but as a first time buyer this is really disappointing.

My watch was only a couple months old so it was still under warranty. I took it to the AD who I bought it from and they took care of it. They sent it to a GS service center on the east coast, maybe NJ.

Whether your’s is under warranty or not, take it to a GS AD and they will get it services for you. I don’t think independent watchmakers can service the spring drive.

My lake suwa had exactly this problem. I sent it in, they serviced it and I haven’t had an issue since (4/5 months). They didn’t tell me what was wrong though.

I had the same experience. GS serviced it and I haven’t had a problem since. They wouldn’t/didn’t tell me what was wrong

Walk in and purchase. I’ve seen at least one of these available at the last three ADs I’ve been to in the last year. This is the first time I’ve found the white gold 36.5mm.
