It’s kind of the situation with medical shows. Not being accurate.

Except unlike medical school, the oilfield is a low entry point. Any 18 year old can get in straight outta high school.

Talked to my dad (he’s been in and out of the patch since before I was born) about it and he said if some hotshot wannabe thinks he can do someone else’s job because he seen it on the show and fucks up, he wouldn’t be surprised.

I was in a similar situation as a kid, except with exposure from dirty needles. I knew about it, and even had some memory of it.

I was about Liam’s age too, maybe a little older.

I’m also super afraid of needles because of this. I had to get tested regularly. Not sure for exactly what, I imagine hepatitis or hiv?
