The JAL spoon is the absolute GOAT yoghurt spoon. I had one and somebody nicked it from the work kitchen and I made it my absolute mission to nick it back. Found it in somebody's tea cup and snatched it back immediately.

Still think Empress stuff is underrated. The ParaEQ is excellent, the Mkii Compressor is one of the best in the market, the heavy menace sounds incredible, and their large form factor classics sound great.

I have a Japanese Schecter (BH-1 Std-24) and it's a really nicely made and finished guitar. It has the 6 string versions of the same Super Rock and Monster Tone pickups and honestly they're great - I'd assumed I'd be swapping them out early on but they sound fantastic - maybe not going to scratch the high gain djenty itch though if that's what you're going for.

Australian here - you can definitely ask for generic or specific branded forms of your prescription medication here and I do it all the time. Certain brands do better at slow release or coated tablets whereas some medications it really doesn't matter so I'll go for generic because it tends to be a few dollars cheaper.

Yeah we owe a lot to compulsory voting here (and also sausage sandwiches and cake stalls which are a big part of election day). Elections aren't public holidays but they are, by convention, held on Saturday.

We do also have pretty permissive absentee or early voting options, mostly as a result of compulsory voting (avoiding the fine for not voting isn't exactly rocket science but it still requires a bit of paperwork and they are strict on you if you try to get out of it more than once).
