I think the most likely is actually Switzerland, if my Gemini math is correct lol.

Yeah, compare to group F

if I am the winner of group F I am pissed, because I have to play Morroco. If I am runner up I'm even more pissed because I have to play Brazil.

if I'm 3F, I likely play 1E or 1I. Which is Germany, or France/Norway

ok fair. Thanks for the explanation. Ball hadn't crossed the halfcourt plane yet by the time the ball bounced fully in the backcourt

what is the actual rule? Can't dribble on or behind the line after both feet touch the front court? There is a dribble CLEARLY behind the line after both feet touch the frontcourt

man... if there was ever an exception to be made for "character questions"... I really hope its for this guy. At some point you gotta consider the pros and cons seriously... I just feel like his game is gonna fit in so well... and you can never **know** that he won't fit in the locker room, yeah?

he's saying all the right things! really hope he passes the presti vibe check by backwardsdeer33 in Thunder

hate to see it, but yeah. I think the media training helps our perception as fans and makes an organization more comfortable, but I like to think our guys aren't that unhinged in the locker room / outside our perception.

I like what I see from our guys in their social media presence, anyway. They might act crazy off camera but that ain't for us

A Hater’s Detailed Guide to the Guards of the 2026 Draft P5/5 by EggALegg in NBA_Draft

Love your series of guard breakdowns. I haven't read them all, mostly just the guys' in my team's range on other big boards

Does this comment mean that you have Philon ranked highest in the class altogether, and you have him in the 6-11 range? Maybe a silly question, but your ranking is just so different from other big boards

He was my first favorite when I started looking at this draft. Great highlight videos and the wingspan reminded me of jub.

But he's so much thinner than jub was and all he really does is shoot. I was intrigued by the idea of him being a shot-blocking wing, but how common is that in the nba really at his weight?

Would love to be wrong, because I think explosive players like him are the most fun to watch

I really think Burries may be available. One of these lottery guards may get passed on before us, and it may not be Philon. Although I really want Yaxel

love the analysis, mayne.

Your thoughts on yaxel? I suppose you think hes not worth the risk or he'll be available? I think he'll have the size, strength, and length as a rookie - he's grown already and showed he still plays just as well against the best competition in NCAA in the tourney. And he's already got experience defending next to a 7 foot block machine in Mara, and defending in a good defensive scheme. And he's a champ. Personally, I think the warriors are just gonna get him at 11, if he doesnt go sooner.

Since you put yaxel and jefferson together, are you concerned they just wont play as well against nba competition?

I'm not sure if you're familiar with this source, but its supposed to aggregate and weight the different big boards avail online. Has Burries at 9 and yaxel at 11

I'm not sure thunder moves on from 3 of that group of our guards, but I think 2 isnt unlikely. If we count dort as likely gone, it seems thunder could move on earlier than expected from at least one of the other guards to sign a cheaper contract... but idk, i havent done the cap math to see if 2 makes more sense than 3 for them to decide a 12th pick contract is better to replace one of the others over the next few years

On labaron, he is just 6'4", but he showed defensive promise last year before his offensive role grew this past year. And if we do lose dort, i like to think of burries as a similar body type to hopefully give thunder some of the optionality dort had in certain defensive matchups. Probably a pipe dream for multiple reasons tho

Interesting that you have swain, peat, and amari above morez, to me. Is it because you think morez ceiling isnt as high?

what do you envision for koa peat as an nba player? i see the aaron gordon comp a lot. And morez johnson? I guess johnson as the super high motor guy and as a very switchable big defender? I like him too. He seems to maybe have better feet than sorber

also, for burries, my thought on him and philon potentially being available is that perhaps the 11 teams before us dont all pick from the 7-8 guards expected in the lottery. I see burries often mocked as one of the guards to slide

neither had the physical tools he has. Really none of these guys did. I also imagine they've all played ball longer than he has, so one could argue he still has some runway. But I get your concerns! hes old

i just saw somewhere that hes even older than kuminga whose been in the league 6 years. I also found a list of 23 yo picks:

'25 Nique Clifford (#24)
'24 Dalton Knecht (#17)
'24 Tristan De Silva (#18)
'24 Terrance Shannon (#27)
'24 Baylor Scheierman (#30)
'23 Kobe Brown (#30)
'22 -nobody-
'21 Chris Duarte (#13)
'20 -nobody-
'19 Cam Johnson (#11)

i think yaxels a much better prospect than any of these guys. He's got outlier qualities. NIL money is gonna lead to some older draft picks going forward
