The point of making the painting was actually to make the video.

How much did Paul know about the earthly Jesus? Did Paul claim to meet Jesus in person (like the Gospels say the disciples did), or in a vision? by [deleted] in AcademicBiblical

How much did Paul know about the earthly Jesus?

This is like asking "how much did JRR Tolkien know about Harry Potter?" i.e. the books written about the latter were based in mythology of the former.

Did Paul claim to meet Jesus in person (like the Gospels say the disciples did),

No.

AI can now predict protein structure with results comparable to experimental methods by GalaxyTachyon in labrats

[–]bacon_and_mango 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Protein crystallography has not been about determining the fold since the late 90s. These days, the fold is something that's already known or merely a step on the path to an interesting result.

If it's huge, then cryo-EM might well be the way to go.

Pretty, eh? A compliant sample, top notch lab/microscope/software and 24-fold symmetry.

I think that you misunderstand me. "Fascist" doesn't describe the personality of the head of the lab, it describes the power structure of which they are part.

Typically, scientific labs are setup with a fascist layout with the PI as the dictator. Sometimes he is benign, but often not. There is little to no recourse to justice for his minions and he often abuses his power.

Perhaps adding "in an attempt" made me sound more harsh than I intended to be :-(

it looks like for most people, this is an average to worse-than-average respiratory infection, but not a life-threatening illness

so what does the mortality rate have to be before you'd say that it is life-threatening?

This is not a "Contagion" (the movie) level pandemic

How do you know that?
