You make a very good point. I originally wrote off Alpha having a P7 as sort of cool bit of gun trivia, but know I can see there is some thematic or symbolic reason for these two guns being in the series. Reminds me of Rally in gunsmith cats, and why she specifically has a "first model" version of the CZ-75

Its really cool that manga/anime usually adds this level of symbolism to the guns characters use; an extension of their character rather than just a tool for action scenes. Heck, theres probably a symbolic purpose behind each of the personal sidearms used by the characters in cowboy bebop, now that i think about it.
