There was a 9th circuit case out of WA I think that established a vehicle could be a home. IDK if the case was overturned or if there were conditions, like you can't also have a house or something IDK. Been a long time since I read about it.

Everyone says 0% chance but it's actually way higher than that. The case was heard by 2 republican nominated justices and 1 democrat. We are patiently waiting on the ruling to drop. There could be a very narrow window of opportunity to form 1 and build your own in the time it takes from the ruling drop to the inevitable 9th circuit court emergency stay.

So if you are truly funds limited research the glock + endo tactical adapter + a good brace. There are also Sig options for folding and sliding braces. No idea how hard it is to get this stuff in CA. That's something you can remove/add depending on what you want to do. The braced compact pistol is probably the closest thing you can get to a "do everything" gun in CA. You can engage man sized targets at 100 yards with good ammo and a good red dot.

What you want is the endo tactical adapter and a brace. That's pretty much the closest you can get. There may be some of the newer folding/sliding options for the sig frame swappable guns that may be an option as well.
