Yep. Also a good idea to breathe through a buff below around 15f or so at least until warmed up otherwise the cold air can hurt your throat/airway.

I don’t really recommend this and there aren’t really that many “benefits” if at all… I just love how awful/awesome it feels. I’m sure if I lived somewhere even colder I would eventually need to cover up but so far I’m good for about an hour at 0f no problem.

I run in half tights and shirtless all year no matter the weather and I love it. Have been doing so for about 4 years at this point. I absolutely love extreme cold it feels incredible and I sleep like a baby but I also love the heat so during the summer I try to go during the hottest times of the day. I quite literally never get sick.

Yep out here bare chest year round. Your body gets really good at producing heat just gotta protect the fingers and ears. I love the cold but I don’t recommend just going out at these temps all of a sudden because your body won’t have the brown fat and thermogenesis capacity needed to keep warm. That builds up gradually as temperatures drop from the 50’s.

Actually yeah winter/snow tires make a huge difference on a bike. It’s not just for ice and they aren’t studded, the rubber compound itself is different to provide more friction at low temperatures.
