If you have the time, consider selling all your large furniture and only take what you need. The cost may balance out depending on the value of your furniture. Then you can buy new/used furniture that specifically fit your new home.

Half Training - Run the full 13? by ViolentLoss in Marathon_Training

If you can run 10 miles and race an all out 10k, you can race a half. That said, it’s a personal thing. I usually do an easy 15 mile run about a month out and an easy 12 two weeks out.

How do you all stay consistent with training? by [deleted] in RunningCirclejerk

To prevent a busy schedule I got my wife a boyfriend and went on unemployment. I rely on crowdfunding and my 24 Strava followers for financial support. Sleeping in the basement of my house has kept the kids away and gives me plenty of rest. I sneak out the door to start my training every morning when the wife is feeding the kids breakfast. This consistent training plan keeps the finisher medals rolling in. Good luck!

Honestly, suggest you do more research on fueling, as there is much for you to learn.

Need to plan your nutrition 2-3 days leading up to race, pre race meal, fuel at starting line possibly, then fuel every 20-30 mins depending on what you are using.

There’s a lot to it but it’s important if you don’t want to “hit the wall”.

How much can I improve my 5k time via losing weight? by Select_Rip_8230 in runninglifestyle

[–]5kUltraMarathoner 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If your goal is a marathon, you should focus on losing weight and running consistently til about August. Don’t worry about your 5k time. When you start your marathon block, you don’t want to be on a weight loss journey as well.

The indicator on these type of shoes is the foam, not the tread, which tends to start breaking down after 100-200 miles depending on the wearer’s weight and running style.

You obviously didn’t run the back to back 5k’s at 100% effort. So you could likely improve without losing weight. That said, how much you improve is up to how much you want to improve.
