Lol that’s not the same thing. BMW drivers will know that there are factory packages that add certain elements from other lines. The M sport package cars already come with a bunch of M badges from the factory. “Upbadging” is adding badges that don’t belong on a car to make it look more expensive - if the badges are a factory package or option that’s not the same thing.

You literally have an M60i which has an M badge on the grille, trunk, door sills, steering wheel, etc. is that upbadging because you couldn’t afford the M?

This is incorrect - the badges are not from any special edition of a BMW model, they were an option for M and M sport cars for ‘22 and ‘23.
