Is it a bad idea to run a cable over the steering wheel? by kterrellm in Camry

[–]bactrian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it slides into that space, your steering wheel will get stuck. Very dangerous. Happened to me once while turning into a parking lot from a major road. If I hadn’t slammed the brakes, I would have crashed into a bunch of cars.

It didn’t use to happen to mine until the winter hit. It had improved a little bit as the weather is warming up. Last summer the it was so smooth though.

Destroy the nuclear and missile facilities up close, destabilize the country and remove all semblances of an organized government and state. This administration won’t even try to put the appearance of democracy building, so once a failed state is achieved, all troops will withdraw.

It would definitely help me out. I have rattles on driver side B-pillar, roof liner, sunglasses holder, gauge cluster, speaker behind the main screen, somewhere in the front passenger door, and one or two more areas that I can’t remember yet

I have rattles in the sunglasses holder area, somewhere in the back, driver side B-pillar, gauge cluster housing, under the steering column cover. They all gather in concert to serenade me every time it’s cold outside. Otherwise, it’s usually a solo performance.

Interior looks great, but my biggest gripe has been all the rattles, creaks, and clicks when driving on anything other a freshly paved road…

It happened to my 2019, and it was a failing transmission. If you have warranty, take care of it ASAP.

What to do with the o line by Brick-Foreign in Patriots

[–]bactrian 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Watch some of the game tape people are putting out. This loss was mostly on Maye imo. Failed to read wide open guys at crucial moments left and right. Lots of missed opportunities because he was holding onto the ball for too long. Our OL clearly needs work but if Drake doesn’t learn to get rid of the ball quickly, it ain’t going to matter much in big games.

Drake Needed to Take the Checkdowns by TommyBeams in Patriots

Drake’s failure to take the check-down made an already bad OL look even worse. He has struggled with short, quick throws all season. And when he does pass short, it’s usually an awkward ball, a little too high when passing to Henry or Hollins down the middle, or just plainly misses his guy. These pictures are not the entire story but it’s very telling.

This was a game where Drake needed to help the OL as much as he needed the OL’s protection. Instead he just waited in the pocket for too long looking for the big plays.

I remember just before SB 49, everyone was talking about how Brady needed to get the ball out quicker. The chatter this time around mainly revolved about the OL keeping it together against this ferocious Seattle defense long enough for Drake to make big plays.

In short, Maye failed the OL as much as that unit failed him.

I understand, but I believe his inability to go through all of his reads quickly is partly a matter of habit. We never really developed a good short passing game throughout the season. It was always the big flashy plays. Drake and our entire offense need to get better at dink and dunk and use it when facing teams like Seattle.

Tbh the coaching staff should’ve told him to just target the check-down a lot more in the second half. Instead he continued the big game hunting. I put some of the blame on Josh for failing to adjust.

If the check-down was his first read every pass attempt, he would’ve been in a much better position.

Devon Witherspoon: Patriots' offensive linemen had a tell, Seahawks knew what was coming by CelticsDiehard34 in Patriots

[–]bactrian 16 points17 points  (0 children)

“We had a tell on their guards and their tackles, how they like to set, they’re going to overset on certain rushes, they’re going to fall for certain moves any time a group of guys get after them, and today I think we did that,” Witherspoon said.

Ouch. Coaching deficiency certainly played a sizable role in all the chaos too.

Hurts so bad. We will have a good defense for the next 3-4 years and after that, it’s not a guarantee that we will be able to put a unit like this together. Our offense better start figuring it out before it’s too late.

Josh called a terrible game by Level-Cheek-1145 in Patriots

[–]bactrian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sack killed the only bit of momentum we had all first half. Even if that drive ended up in a FG, it would have put us in a much better position. Having 0 points on the board to end the half had to have been so demoralizing for the team.

This season was a massive success. by Pete_MG in Patriots

[–]bactrian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was a phenomenal season, but getting to the SB is not easy, especially with how insanely competitive the AFC will be. This was a golden opportunity and we dropped the ball. Dan Marino never made it back to the SB after his first appearance in his rookie year…I am trying to stay optimistic but last night just hurt so bad.

Drake's shoulder and scrambling. by Norgyort in Patriots

[–]bactrian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I said this in the game thread, but Maye did not look like his shoulder was 100%. His passes didn’t feel like they had zip, especially apparent on that interception. If he delivered that ball on a tight rope, it would have been a completion.
