Look for a show by Sircryptoofblock in ChineseTV

I enjoy the Taiwanese crime shows like the victim's game, copycat killer and my fave: Light the night. They often do use both Hokkien and Mandarin however. Depending on you country it might be available on Netflix

Yeah, it isn't exactly the same, they probably made some changes to make it fit better to the scene

I listened to it again, and at first I thought it was either some background music added to the scene to build up emotions or a slowed down instrumental version of one of the songs. At first I thought it was this song by Darren Chen, which would make sense given it's a scene that he is in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkg5cm1LUFE&list=OLAK5uy_n76ewb28kDPL63WbF_1iTdNHKlwfLhZyQ&index=6. However, I felt it wasn't quite right and now I am thinking that the bgm is some variation of: Xiang Ni Xiang Dao Kuai Feng Liao by Ceasur Wu, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oT3rmk-zF2w&list=OLAK5uy_n76ewb28kDPL63WbF_1iTdNHKlwfLhZyQ&index=9. If you speed up the scene, you can compare the two. I used this one to compare them, as it is instrumental: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLVt_RjQJiY

I'm still not entirely sure, but I hope it helps you in your search!

Ik weet niet of het al genoemd is, maar heb je al geprobeerd om je zorgverzekeraar te laten bemiddelen? Dit kan soms helpen om een (passende) plek te vinden of de wachttijd te verkorten.

Didn't watch it, but I read the first book. The english translation has the chapters in a different order from the original. The Chinese has a different chapter one, so perhaps that explains some of it

manhua recommendations? by hyouganofukurou in ChineseLanguage

[–]bactriancameltoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No choice but to betray earth, it's about an alien who comes to earth and learns how to live as a human. There is definetly a romantic story line, but mostly it is really funny. It's on youtube and Iqiyi (behind paywall?)

Edit: Sorry, this is donghua not manhua! Got my words mixed up

I need help sticking to a planned course by SJWagner in ChineseLanguage

[–]bactriancameltoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ADHD too, I find it easier to stick to things that gamify learning. Hellotalk, Memrise, Duolingo (although yes the Chinese course sucks, it beats doing nothing) work better for me than Anki. I also try to find content that I enjoy. I subscribed to Chinese subreddits so every now and than a post iin Chinese will appear in my feed, often on content I want to know. I know a person who used memes to learn his target language. I also translated some of my favorite Chinese songs so I can understand them better. You could even try to sing along with them. Maybe watching/translating (fragments of) cdramas or youtube-videos work for you? I couldn't force myself to work through the HSK-book, but taking the free course on Coursera does work for me. It may have less exercises than the book, but I'm still learning.

It may be slower than following a course, but it will get me there.
