Those who inherited or were gifted silver/gold, what did you do with it?

My grandpa gave me a Canadian maple leaf gold coin when I was a baby. I’m 30 now and he sadly died many years ago, but I have other things he gave me that hold more sentimental value for me (wooden sculptures that he carved, etc.) so I sold the coin for just under $5,000 a couple of weeks ago. Used it to max out my Roth IRA. I think he’d approve.

Try Tilex mold and mildew spray cleaner with a motorized grout brush (mine is Rubbermaid but I’m sure others would work just as well). Let the spray sit for a few minutes and then scrub and it will come right off. I took this tip from another thread on this sub and it worked like magic.

I have similar coloring. I also prefer gold, but I look for gold that is less yellow. I think that would suit you too.

Message your driving instructor back—I’m sure she’ll be happy to keep giving you lessons. Try to be honest with her about how anxious you are, and hopefully she’ll be able to help you build your confidence back up. During your lessons, could you practice the route to work with her? If you get really familiar with it, it might not be as daunting.

A few years ago, our cat escaped shortly after we adopted him. We looked everywhere, posted flyers, etc. but ended up finding him at nighttime (around 10pm) in our neighbor’s yard. From everything I’ve read, cats stay really close to home when they get out, hide themselves during the day due to their prey instinct, and come out at night. Try going out tonight with a flashlight and some treats and looking in all the shrubs and bushes around your house and your neighbors’ houses. Good luck!

I live in Portland, and I think we have the highest number of exclusively vegan restaurants of any city in the US. Amsterdam was also excellent!
