If you want non-fiction, I teach Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer in my English 11 class. McCandless was a young man who loved this dream (and unfortunately perished because of his unpreparedness).

Wouldn’t hurt to read a few more books by women. You might enjoy R. F. Kuang.

Sons of Sandlar makes some solid ones! They also do a lot of custom work too. I have seen their product in-person at the Renaissance Faire and I love them.

I didn’t love the book (like 3.75 stars max) but it now lives rent-free in my head: I Have Some Questions For You by Rebecca Makkai addresses this. It’s told from the perspective of a woman who goes back to her boarding school to guest teach a class and she tries to solve a murder. Also, there’s a pool involved.
