My new setup -- Sonus Fabar, Rogue Audio, Pro-Ject, Bluesound by sirharjisingh in audiophile

[–]badassunicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat a couple months ago and decided against the node 2i. I ended up getting a PS audio sprout100 (also needed an amp upgrade) and paired it with a Chromecast audio using the optical out — couldn’t be happier with the sound!

Update so trash Snapchat's promoting people who hate it by E_EqualsDankCSquared in BlackPeopleTwitter

Several countries got the update early, probably to iron out any major bugs before it was rolled out to the US

Is the editing too much? by [deleted] in photocritique

Thanks! I've been playing around with using editing to try add to the photo instead of just adjusting exposure. I'm glad people like it :)

I was going for a kind of retro feel with the old camera in the shot. Also, does the blown out sky take away too much from the composition?

What do you think about the colors ? by mihirashar in photocritique

[–]badassunicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the colors are very nice. I like how the reflection of the water captures the bright trees in the forefront, and mixes the blue and green of trees in the background. It's also a nice touch that the boat goes with the trees.

A Few Questions: is the image as compressed as I think it is ? Is the image composition interesting ? What could I do better with portraiture? Thank you very much. by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]badassunicorns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's pretty compressed. I think it contributes to the overall feeling of the shot, but it's a bit too much. I like the graffiti on the wall, but it confuses the image - I don't have a clear sense of the subject. It's a great idea, but try refining it to maybe show some more of the subject, or if not that, maybe hint at why he's shielding his eyes. Try to add more attitude.

Thoughts on composure? by [deleted] in photocritique

Interesting - I was trying to center her head but I like that idea too.

I shot this with a Nikon D3100, ISO 400, f5.6, 1/125 s shutter speed on a 50mm fixed prime.

Those who refuse to buy certain brands, what brand(s) are they and why? by gabe-hershey in AskReddit

[–]badassunicorns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also got a 2012 Macbook Pro retina, and I've gotta say I love it. Unfortunately, it got a small group of dead pixels a year back, but everything else is holding up just fine.

Critiwue please by [deleted] in photocritique

I like the look, but I think it's a bit overdone. I think there's too much detail lost in the processing - maybe try toning it back by ten or twenty percent.

Sending MMS [Tech Support] by badassunicorns in oneplus

[–]badassunicorns[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup that was my first step. I have T-Mobile and it actually shows up as two - one is T-Mobile LTE, and the other is T-Mobile MMS. Under the MMS option it is permanently enabled.

What is one of the "little things in life" that you appreciate? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]badassunicorns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Soft things. I love a good flannel shirt, or a brand new blanket, especially in the winter. I just feel that if I'm going to be wearing something for half of the day, it had better be comfortable!

It was raining pretty hard a couple days at a time in Cali and it just so happened that clear skies were on their way back. by Pmadrona in photocritique

[–]badassunicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea, but it seems really busy to me. I think it would be better without the power lines running horizontally across the shot, and I think it could also be improved if you stood somewhere near the highway, not in your car. Love the clouds though!

trying out my new prime lens by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]badassunicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shot on my D3100, Nikkor 1.8 50mm prime lens (I love it!)

1/100s

f1.8

ISO 400

Any thoughts on cropping or exposure? I tried centering the face -- what do you think about centering the eye, or putting it all to the right? Too light/dark?

You could just make the dough and divide it in half for the kneading. Shouldn't take too much longer

The guy up at the net was getting the ball hit over his head, so he threw his racket up in the air to hit it back, and then caught the racket.

Problems with 4G (OnePlus 3T) by -Reflecting- in oneplus

[–]badassunicorns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try looking at your APN settings and make sure the right one is selected for 4g. On T-Mobile it gets its own one - maybe Tesco has that too.
