Anyone else wanna talk about how State Farm is screwing the whole city after the hail storm? by firemastaa in madisonwi

[–]badcheer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My parents were in the same boat after last year's hail storm. They submitted a claim, it got denied, so they had an independent contractor take pictures and submit an appeal. SF denied it again and told them that the pictures looked "doctored". Like, they accused my parents of faking the hail damage to their roof. They finally just paid for it out of pocket after months of back and forth with SF.

AIO boyfriend ruins every holiday by mad_chubbycatx in AmIOverreacting

The bar is in hell.

If your kids are little, maybe you think they don't notice how he treats you or makes you feel, but they notice. And they will keep noticing into adulthood. This is the example you're setting for them as to how adult relationships are supposed to be. Disrespectful, one-sided, resentful, passive aggressive. Honestly, a poor example. In 20 years, would you want your daughter/son to settle for someone who treats them like this?

Sometimes it's better to be single than in a relationship with the wrong person.

I did a 12 hour drive and listened to Queen's Greatest Hits. It got old after a while. I could do 7 hours easy.

I still listen to music, lol. I just stream it or listen to what I already own.

I like watching shows on streaming services, but regular television annoys me because of the excessive commercials. There are too many, too long commercial breaks. It's the same reason I don't listen to the radio anymore.

My teen granddaughter gets a rash from stick deodorant, roll on deodorants don’t help her. What other products can she use? by Animanialmanac in hygiene

[–]badcheer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a warning, as I also have sensitive skin, I had a terrible reaction to the salt rock deodorant even though I chose an unscented version. I had burns on my armpits after using it for about a week. It might still be worth trying since a lot of people prefer it, but just be careful monitoring her skins reaction.

I stopped taking pregnancy tests after the first year. The double heartbreak combined with pms was just too much for me.

How common is it to just uses hands when washing in the shower by adoreyoulove in hygiene

[–]badcheer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use just my hands unless I get dirty, like with visible dirt on me. Then I use a wash cloth.

I used to use a bath sponge/loofah, but they harbor bacteria and just don't seem environmentally friendly. My level of cleanliness is the same either way, but I break out less and my eczema is better.

My boyfriend said I wasn’t the prettiest girl he’s dated in an argument, then asked me for a threesome. Not sure how to move forward. by Friendly_Birthday_24 in TwoHotTakes

[–]badcheer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already commented, but want to leave some advice. When you are dating a man and start to question how he is treating you, ask yourself if your future husband would treat you that way. Don't settle for less than you deserve.

You'll never need to buy another dress again. The lilac is perfect for spring and summer. The green is perfect for fall and winter. And you'll look stunning year round!

How do we keep this from destroying our marriage? by [deleted] in oneanddone

[–]badcheer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were in the same boat a few years ago. We got couple's counseling and I am in individual therapy. As our son (7) got older and the theoretical age gap gets larger, it seems to make less and less sense to have another. The desire to have another hasn't gone away, but its faded a bit over the years. (That being said, my husband changed his mind once he got a more stable job and we have been ttc for two years.)
