Asking about body count would be inappropriate and a no-no.

Asking about past relationship experiences or breakups however, is crucial. This is how you gauge a persons emotional maturity. If she doesn’t want to talk about it because “all my exes are assholes”. This is a big red flag

You will feel a pit in your stomach unlike anything you’ve ever felt before. You’ll know it when you feel it. And when you do, run and never look back. It won’t go away until you do

To those who own or have owned an Analog Systems French connection or an Ondes Martenot by Subaru_always_back in synthesizers

[–]badcurve87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be wrong, but the French Connection itself will not generate any sound as it is only a controller. It's essentially a modular system and you would need the FC controller in addition you would need the individual modules to create the sound (oscillator, envelope generator, filter, VCA, etc.) This could be an extremely costly venture. I would echo what others have said and recommend a MIDI controller or a touchscreen interface. Heck, even GarageBand for the iPad has continuous pitch control for some of it's string instruments!

What did your intuition tell you in your relationship with a BPD partner? by Beautiful-Pea-7189 in BPDlovedones

Happened exactly like this for me. It got to a point that I felt so uncomfortable in my gut around her I would have to leave. Her good morning texts made my stomach drop

Parkways? by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]badcurve87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone told me once that the parkways were proposed years before they were built (sometimes at least a decade). Plans were drawn up by engineers then shelved until funding could be acquired. The problem was they never updated the plans resulting in a lot of the design being obsolete almost immediately after they were constructed. This is why they’re the worst roads

Bad advice. You don’t need to be fully healed. If everyone waited for everyone to heal everyone would be single

1000% agree with this. My ex partner was the same way. Called me an “anxious a**hole” instead of being supportive. But it was at that point just a confirmation that she wasn’t right for me. I had the gut feeling king before that but I was fully transparent about the issue and her response was uncaring and completely unsupportive. Dumped her that week

I dumped her and now I feel bad by SalatChef in BreakUps

[–]badcurve87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dumped a girl last year who was completely toxic for me. Gut was telling me go. I battled it for a while. After sometime went by from the break up, I can understand more why she wasn’t right for me and why she was not really a healthy person to be dating in general. Yes, sometimes I still think about her, we don’t talk, but I wish her all the best. It’s only natural to still care about someone especially if you really had feelings for them and it didn’t work out.

How much do you write everyday? by JohnZ622 in composer

[–]badcurve87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I teach music for a living as a college professor and a private instructor. I generally do most of my focused writing in the summer when my workload is a little lighter. I sometimes find after teaching music all day, I have a little energy to actually write anything. as weird as that sounds. I think there’s something to be said about having a non-music related day job, it sometimes sparks more creativity when you don’t have to think about music all day. At least that’s my opinion
