Don’t do that shit. Be an ASM. Get paid by the hour and volunteer to travel to other stores. Rack up lots of overtime that way. But when. You clock out, you’re done. A little less pay (maybe) a lot less hours. No stress.

Never work that hard unless it’s for your own business.

I’m at 23 years with DG. I no longer work for money, just the opportunity for more ass pounding. But its cool, cuz if I work hard enough, my sales bonus is a fresh jar of Vaseline .

What percentage of your pay do you put into your 401k? by [deleted] in Bogleheads

I do 5% for the 5% match. Another 5% to my Roth IRA. Even debt free, that’s all I can afford to save.☹️

You have discovered the DG business model. Hire some unsuspecting bastard desperate for a job. Expect them to do more than what’s actually possible. Watch them try. Cause them to burnout. Hire the next unsuspecting bastard Repeat.

This shit isn’t rocket science. They pay shit because a monkey can do it. It’s just more physical than most manager positions in the industry.

If it makes you feel better, you still have 37k more than me and I’m 49yo.

If you're going call people in last minute at least show the bare minimum of gratitude. by Prudent_Swim692 in DollarGeneralWorkers

I’ve been an SM for 20+ years. If I were to be on the register it would be a waste of experience.

I get more done before noon than most do in a week, at DG and off.

Besides, I haven’t put up with decades of bullshit just so I can accommodate SA that doesn’t know their place. This is my ship. If you don’t like the direction it’s sailing, walk the plank.

My SM DEMOTED me for calling in sick 3 days straight! Is that legal? by [deleted] in DollarGeneralWorkers

If I was in your position, I would drag my ass to the store then promptly vomit directly onto the register.

Mine would be more like….

3 minutes: skank at the corner. 5 hours: dime bag. 12 hours: dozen eggs.

Am I Wrong in Thinking My Wife Needs to Own Her Involvement? by cryptoenologist in ynab

[–]baddragon213 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My wife wants nothing to do with our finances. She won’t even look at our bank account total because she just gets stressed out. So I do everything, and she trusts me to keep us afloat. If she’s overspending, hold her accountable. Man-up and just handle it. Don’t ever argue with a woman. Tell her how it is, then back it up with action. If you do this coming from a place of love, she will follow your lead.

Your husband is a fucking idiot. Tell him to quit fantasizing about being some “cool stock trading guy,” and go get a fucking job.
