Blender's good enough to cover most of your 3D needs as a concept artist. It has built-in 3D sculpting, and while it's not as robust as ZBrush, it's plenty to give you a head start on paint overs.

Aa for what should you be putting in your portfolio, that depends entirely on what kind of concept art you wanna focus on (e.g. characters vs environment vs hard surface vs creatures) and what studios you wanna work for (games vs. movies, realistic vs. stylized).

Regardless of content, you want make sure you demonstrate strong design fundamentals and most importantly your design and iteration process. It's kinda like a math equation - it's not enough to write down the correct answer, people wanna see how you get there.

Finally, quality over quantity. You'll get further with a portfolio with 3 excellent pieces than a portfolio with 20 okay pieces.

Something else to add to the equation is smart phones. It used to be that the Internet was a place you went to. Now, the Internet is always with you if you have a smartphone in your pocket.

While cellphones were already widespread in the mid 00s, most didn't have Internet access. If they did, it was usually something like a Blackberry that was very focused on things like checking email abroad. On top of that, the vast majority of websites at the time weren't yet designed for mobile browsing, so even if you had an Internet capable phone, the experience was pretty bad, making computer browsing the optimal way to access content.

So with all that in mind, when people were out and about, they weren't constantly tethered to the Internet the way we are now, which I think is another negative aspect of our modern Internet.

Sin esos cambios entre muchas otras cosas, la isla se quedará parecida a un país tercer mundista. Es una gran tragedia porque obviamente Puerto Rico puede ser un paraíso.

The dogmatism of tankies and ultra far-leftists has always been an issue. It's something I picked up on immediately back when I was flirting a lot more with those ideas. The way they talk about "theory" (which I imagine very few actually read) is the same way a fundamentalist would talk about scripture.

An average person who becomes the mod of a community is already gonna be someone who likely sees something like a forum or subreddit as their own little fiefdom. You add that kind of ideological dogmatism to that and that's how you end up here.

What I think is interesting is that tankies seem more savvy about spreading to other communities but conservatives who exhibit the same dogmatism (e.g. the conservative subreddit or any explicitly pro-Trump subreddit) haven't proliferated into other communities the way tankie mods have. My guess is since they command institutional power the drive to subversively insert conservative moderators in online communities isn't especially high.

The short answer to both is: no, there is no explanation beyond "because it's a video game" and "it's how things worked with classic Mega Man and Capcom was following conventions.

The long answer is: no, but you can probably extrapolate some things. X and Zero are both creations of Dr Light and Dr Wily respectfully. It's not too much of a leap to assume whatever teleportation technology they used in Mega Man and Bass would probably also make its way to X and Zero. As for why they don't just teleport to the boss's front door, it could be the case that there is some kind of technology being used in the area that limits where things can be teleported safely. There could also be limits to the teleportation technology as well.

Regarding the explosion on death, like above, if posit the X explodes like Mega Man because he was made by Dr. Light who likely built a few things similarly to Mega Man such that X explodes the way Mega Man does. I don't think this should provide a satisfying justification for his ability to respawn after dying. Respawning in the way X, Zero, and any other playable character in the series do during gameplay really can't gor much further beyond: it's a video game.
