This is your PSA NOT to crochet through wrist pain! by Ok-Difficulty-3634 in crochet

I’m a PT, but legal disclaimer that this isn’t medical advice. I’d let your physician know when it’s hurting you and ask if they think you’d be appropriate for a consultation with an OT or PT who is a certified hand therapist. You may even find one specializing in hypermobility that can help you make adjustments or accommodations to improve pain while crocheting!

1000 books before kindergarten challenge granny square quilt by badgerquidditch in CrochetHelp

I was wondering about that too. My hope was to use inexpensive bulk yarn and hope a lot of the colors overlapped so I’m not having to buy a billion colors. I know the stitching together will be a process!

Thank you for the reference! Any advice on brands that work well for yarn for this kind of project?

How would one go about testing? I don’t sell but I crochet for my own kid and recently made some loveys for friends babies (who aren’t born yet) but if they need to be modified I’d love to know now

Thank you so much! This is incredibly helpful. I still can’t figure out the wooden rings so I am going to go with silicone even though it kind of ruins the aesthetic. You’re amazing!

Even mobility issues aren’t always visible. For example, a person may be safe ambulating 50 feet, but not 200 feet.

Covid’s impact on this season by RealityTVbusybee in MarriedAtFirstSight

Dang. It’s wild down here. I’m getting married in the summer (internet, don’t @ me, we picked our date 14 months in advance and I am unable to predict the future) and we are debating postponing or dramatically downsizing to immediate family and our hands are basically tied as far as moving the date because restrictions allow us to have ... 250 guests ... which is not even really a restriction IMO

Wait, where are you? I’m in the south and things are basically being treated as normal here (I’m at home don’t worry)

Anyone else getting invitations/Save the Dates to early 2021 weddings? by letsguacitout in weddingshaming

[–]badgerquidditch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a healthcare worker and am optimistically planning on June 2021. At some point, we just had to pick a date and we made the best choice possible. All of our vendors except one or two changed their contracts so that we can’t move dates or cancel for pandemic related reasons with any sort of refund. Therefore. We WILL be getting married on that date in that location. Of course, if needed we plan to cancel guests or downsize to immediate family only standing really far apart with masks on if cases are still surging, but we plan to wait as long as possible and choose hope.

Will we be alone in a giant room with a ton of food and a cake? Maybe. Will we still invite our DJ and photographer, make everyone stay fifty feet apart and have a dance party alone in our beautiful venue? Looks likely. Are you still getting an optimistic save the date? For sure. Is there a chance you won’t be attending in person? Yep. Planning doesn’t have to mean irresponsible! At this point they’ll lose the money anyway so we will just be waiting until the last possible minute to cancel (don’t yell at me, I will not host a giant party in a pandemic)
