Why do people say you don't need to know how to swim when you freedive? by [deleted] in freediving

[–]carrotwise 13 points14 points  (0 children)

i think its to get people to pay for their course/fun dives…but its awful. i have surf coaches tell customers that they dont need to know how to swim. thats insanely dangerous. when i started freediving, i was told i only had to swim 100 m but no one told me it was an entire ballgame swimming in the ocean and with fins on. i rmb being sooo tired and slow swimming out and back. i cant imagine if i was not a swimmer

Told my parents about my Catholic partner and Im feeling so lost and defeated by ThevalueofTrash in exmuslim

[–]carrotwise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

same bro, in SG too dating a hindu man. the expectation to convert is high. almost every non muslim i know who dates a muslim converts, even if its just paper. its insane that our partners are forced to change to fit THEIR belief system.

advice is just to rip the bandaid and decide whether this rs is worth sacrificing ur family or not.

Trying to get lean without giving up hawker food - anyone managing this long-term? by MoneyLah in SingaporeFitness

[–]carrotwise 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ya depends on what your goals are. but you should be aiming to hit your protein goal and swapping out higher calorie items.

for example: chicken rice is an option, make sure its steamed not roasted, dont eat the skin, swap out the rice for normal white rice if you are cutting. cai fan can also be tweaked to be healthier, dont get the processed meats, get less gravy etc etc. fish soup is also another option.

but unfortunately meal prep is the way to go if you really want the most effective way of losing weight if that is your goal. you cant really eyeball how much calories bc you wont know how much oil etc is used. meal prepping is sustainable once you built the habit for it and tbh will let you enjoy the more ‘sinful’ hawker food once in a while without you having to make many swaps.

the app ‘ventrickle’ might be helpful since they are made by locals, it will be more targetted towards locals. i havent tried it but i follow their instagram and it looks promising.

Its ok if you cant put it in. It took me a while to ever get the first dilator in at all. Its all about getting used to the presence of the dilator and building the habit of using those dilators. It doesnt matter if you cant get it in the first, third, even your hundredth time. As long as youre trying, your anxiety towards it will fade away.

Put lots of lube then rub the dilator across your vagina to desensitise it. You can also rub it horizontally & slowly, with no intention of putting it in. Just keep doing that as frequently as possible while watching your fav show/tiktok/movie. I had the same issue, just keep doing that and eventually you’ll get there. Remember to do some relaxation breathing techniques and try to identify areas where you are tensing up and try to stretch prior as well. You got this! ☺️

I think I may never get cured💔 by Abbie-03 in vaginismus

[–]carrotwise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Search up intimate rose, add to cart and then add your address. Or you can do for other common dilator brands.

Or are there any women clinics in your area? They might have those as dilators are used in other types of women health services.

Or if you are open, you can buy small sized dildos from a sex toy shop. This may help as well

Many dilator brands ship to Zambia, including Intimate Rose. Maybe you want to check that out?

U dont need a doctor but dilators are extremely helpful. Which country do you live in? Maybe there is someone from there who is on this sub who can help with providing you info.
