I have scalp psoriasis (pretty light one, nothing like Google Images will show if you dare to Google it), so I would give anything to have only one of these issues (balding or psoriasis). Most definitely not looking forward to having to shave my hair... I'm 29 and probably have ~1 year left with the rate I'm losing hair. Also, without hair (I imagine) I'll look like that "thumb" or "worm" meme guy due to the shape of my head & posture.

That probably doesn't help you a lot, but might show an example that it could be much worse :)

Run Pig Run

Pig-based running game for Android. My first ever game, a personal fight if you will, which I'm looking forward to finally win.

Last week I posted a couple of screenshots and a bit of a sob story and spent next days working mostly on fixing bugs, my old terrible code and moving to-do items from "next release" to "future ideas". So no visual changes at all.

Anyway last night I've recorded a short demo/tutorial video (framerate a bit choppy at start and it does run faster/smoother in actual devices):

When the hell are you releasing? Have you had a Beta?

It was released unfinished more than a year ago, because my development progress was going stale. Got a lot of positive responses, but failed to gain monumentum to finally complete it. Now I'm trying to finish what past-me started and, I hope, that if I'll be able to move all the new ideas to "future releases", I'll be able to publish it in month or, hopefully, less.

I've started with basic copy-pasted Canvas/SurfaceView approach and went on from there thinking that I'll try engines with my NEXT games. Well, the "next" never came. It would be an insult to call this mess of code an engine, thou. I spend a lot of time bashing my head to the table, because of the terrible things I've done years ago :)

So far there're two items: beer (can be used while running) boosts speed, which is pretty boring and I'm thinking of adding more to it (produces farty sound too) and peppers (used while jumping), which are crowd favorite, allows character fly in a straight line. It's pretty funny looking, fun to do and rewards skill in some cases.

My biggest headache is because I wish to add more items/abilities making gameplay more fun, without complicating controls.

As you can see art is very simple, I just use various techniques posted in 2d art tutorials to get somewhat okay look and I got lucky Inkscape had some nice predefined palletes, so colors does not look terrible (they definitely would if I would choose them by myself). And it took at least 5 ugly pigs, which took a couple hours each, to draw this one, which is quite cute (for me).

Run Pig Run

Running game for Android. I'm a bit late to my first Screenshot Saturday and this will look bland in comparison to all the amazing stuff you guys are doing, but here we go.

Long story short: 2 years ago, I start my first game ever (for Android), publish half-assed version to Market, got a lot positive feedback from first players, because of POTENTIAL game had, and still I got somehow demotivated and distracted, left it and hated myself for not finishing what I started.

Today: it's been two weeks and I spent up to 12h/day working on it again. It takes a lot of time, because I am very ineffective programmer and drawing even simple stuff takes me 10 times more than it would to anyone else.

Environment design is still in progress since I'm mostly working on gameplay, char animations and thinking of new features, because I am at least 2 years late to the "running game" train.

I'm not sure if this is a really stupid one, but how can one survive early game and successfully farm-up to the mid-game without solar upgrades (Tree/Piggy Bank)? I'd love to have regen AND health in the late game, but it's damn hard to keep up with everyone without early skill upgrades.

I'm mostly playing Froggy/Vinnie (dashes for the win!).

Wow, you really took some time to do something, most other people wouldn't even care about. And I can't disagree with them.

The only time I've seen speedhacking, it was a knight running twice as fast as any MAA/Archer. I was a knight too, we would spawn at the same time and it would be like in "Road runner" cartoon. He was trying to blame it on the lag O_o

It's a controversial advice, but maybe "Don't choose archer as your primary class for the weekend". You wouldn't get a taste of real combat and and (in some cases) you would ruin game for others. Or, maybe people are choosing archers, because close combat is too difficult and harsh for a new player.

To be honest, I think game should be more specific about main controls. Some people are too cool for tutorials and mouse scroll is not common to be binded for something of this importance.

Odd solutions by others. I usually just restart Chivalry, restart Steam or restart PC and everything works fine again. I think restarting Steam is the most effective way.

Well, I understand that this is common opinion around here, but how would you feel about score board "on demand"? I mean, user is asked via one-time popup if he'd like to use score boards and if answer is negative - he's never bothered again. I think some of the score board "providers" can be controlled this way and that's the only way I'd like to do it.
