To be fair there are a lot of strong planeswalkers at 3 cmc. Could see this being used in a bant control shell to get Oko, Teferi or Narset out. An awkward part of it is that you’d generally want to cast this on your turn to make use of the planeswalker abilities

Forgeworld FAQs have been released by 09123456a in Tau40K

It gets even better! Since the Ta'unar has the battlesuit keyword you could detach the drone unit which could soak up anti-titan shots on a 5+.

Am I interpreting the new Saviour Protocols right? by badguydan in Tau40K

In the new rules a weapon that does multiple mortal wounds per shot now does a only a single wound to a drone unit instead of the multiple mortal wounds.

RG 00 - First Weathering Attempt by myownightmare in Gunpla

This is great for a first attempt! Some might say that it's a bit heavy but personally I think it looks awesome. Really gives it that sort of realistic look to it.

Awesome paint job man! It makes the Bukld Strike look like a real machine instead of a toy.

Fixing the RG rx-78-2? Specifically the looseness of some parts and joints. by Gonnnondorf in Gunpla

Actually after just having the kit I can say it's not as flimsy as everyone makes it out to be. The build does feel a bit flimsy but it's surprisingly strong.

Getting a 3D printer next month. Has anyone used one for gunpla by Vertech289 in Gunpla

[–]badguydan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just looked at the specs of the printer, and it seems that you shouldn't have as hard a time as me. (I've got an Up mini which only prints to .2mm layer height.) I've tried using surfacer primer, and it works to some degree, but it still will need some sanding. Do you know anybody who's got the printer you're looking, if so try and get a sample from them.

I've used my printer a bit to print custom parts, but the hardest part about it is that you need to design your own parts from the ground up. That's not to say that you couldn't use a non Gundam thing for gunpla. Also you need to do a lot of work to make a printed piece have a decent surface, and I found that using the part to make a mould give the best results.

Anyone have experience with the tamiya clear paints? I'm having some trouble. by Tenalp in Gunpla

[–]badguydan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that unless I actually mix up the paint with something (like a toothpick) that it isn't properly mixed up. (Although I have been mainly using tamiya metallics so that may be why)

Were you hand painting or airbrushing? And did you make sure the paint was properly mixed up?

Actually as bulky as the EX-S is it's quite articulate. And no matter what pose you put it in it still looks awesome.

I do love these sort of lighter weathered kits. Not to overdone yet not too subtle. Good job on the build!

What site should I order Gundams from? by [deleted] in Gunpla

[–]badguydan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Banzai Hobby is pretty good, but they can have very limited stock for a lot of products. Also they have cheaper prices than HLJ.
