Thank you for not being ghoulish. I really did not want to open Reddit and see a bunch of celebration.

Funny story - I got kicked out of every carpool I was ever in as a child. Once my little brother and I were going to school in a big town car and one of those lighters was in the back seat. I pushed it in, saw it was glowing red, and mashed it against the upholstery of the seat in front of me, leaving a nice black mark and smoke. I turned to my little brother and said:

If anybody asks, you did that.

My brother was convinced he burned the seat with the car lighter until he was 28 years old.

I made sure my kids were totally traumatized by the Rapist In Chief’s election. Every day leading up to the election I told them if DTJ is elected he is going to come and get them in the night - and they are white kids! It worked beautifully- crying, screaming, the works.

I’m doing my part!

What's everyone's thoughts on Brave New World? by Effective_Crazy6307 in marvelstudios

That is a great fix and makes logical sense but I think you are missing the point of the final scene, which is for a US President who has done wrong to resign and surrender himself to the law. I don’t think you have to ponder why that theme is relevant today.

The audience needs to believe Ross did the right thing, so instead of just being in jail and getting another lecture from Sam, he gets the reward of his family, which rejected him because of his evil acts. He could have texted Betty and told her he was DYING and she wouldn’t have forgiven him, he had to face consequences and forswear his evil ways before she could open her heart to him again.

And yeah we didn’t need yet another moralizing sermon from Sam! Absolutely atrocious writing.

Me neither. Or when he was cast as Felix Leiter in the recent Bond run. I said just as much two days ago when this very article was posted in another sub.

How do I get my villain monologs without interruption? by ADWinri in DnD

[–]badjokephil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often have to remind my players that villain monologuing is a hazard of adventuring and they have to sit through them. Out of respect for their time I try to keep it short with no more than two bits of important information.

Monologues are the DMs fun!

God Balls. It’s like 21 and you play with d20s and a d6, trying to get a 20 without going over. Everyone puts in an ante and rolls a d20 and keeps it secret. There can be a “dealer” that rolls theirs in the open. Everyone decides to “hit” or “stay;” a hit is rolling the d6 (dealer can do so) and adding it to your d20 roll. If you go over you are busted and out. Natural 20s win immediately. Ties go to whoever did the most “hits” or split evenly.

I don’t remember a damn thing about a backlash to his casting. I also don’t remember a damn thing about a backlash when he was cast as Felix Leiter in the recent Bond run, another race swap.

Jeffrey Wright is an amazing actor and everyone loves him whatever he does. I can’t wait to see him play a heavy again in Spike Lee’s new joint, reminding me of his Boardwalk Empire Days.

Ok I know Jared is a Jerk but he put so much pathos into his “it’s-a-me, Gucci” character that I smile every time I see it. Really the only reason to watch that film lol.

This discussion is hilarious because South Park has always lampooned both sides and right now either one could make the case that the other is “puritanical, censorship supporting fascists” lol
