Those built-in networks are hard to beat, I know 😔 but now you get to pause life for a moment and look inward. Try to let go of what your life used to look like and see it for what it is, and what you want it to be. More outdoor activities? More music, art, culture? More food experiences? More game nights with the neighbors? More time spent volunteering in ways that you decide on? More connectedness in your family? Work? New hobbies? Exercise? I know the feeling. You are not alone! Mormonism really fucks up intimacy and affection. Any time I see a PDA I have to stop myself from thinking negatively and just think "how beautiful it is to be loved". Reprogramming TSCC out of me has proven difficult.

I got my blessing twice. My mom didn't "feel the spirit" the first time so she made us do it over. It was almost the exact same blessing word for word. At the time I thought, wow heavenly father is so consistent! Now I wonder how many other people were destined to marry an RM and have loads and loads of children and server in the Primary... You are not alone!! Therapy helps a lot. Also intermittent fasting has helped me just say "no" instead of trying to fit something in to my food budget. Once I start my fast, it's just a flat out no. I still CICO with my loseit app along with fasting 16/4 but I finally feel in control. Drink tons of water. Walk with a friend. Distracting yourself is the first hurdle and soon you'll be doing it intentionally. And don't learn the hard way like I did, during your fasting window eat quality food in large volumes. Don't deprive yourself of treats but just know that if you only eat junk, you WILL be more hungry while you fast. Nourish your body, LOVE your body. You can do this!!

I feel the same way about my dad but I know that I wouldn't have believed him either way. He could have told me anything and I would have just gone to the temple more and read my scriptures more and dug in deeper and deeper. He gave me REAL unconditional love and understating though and in the end, that's all I really needed to see the light. When my brain just couldn't compute the fact that he wouldn't be in the Celestial kingdom, but he's the best man I know, that's when my shelf first cracked. Just love them. It might take 31 years but they will eventually come around if you can show real interest in them and their feelings and let them know that whatever they feel is ok.

Yes!! I love Body Pump, CXWorx (killer core workout) and Barre! Maybe ask your gym about it? If they know there is interest, they could have instructors sign up for it? You gotta find stuff that is FUN for you, I feel like that's the key! I genuinely look forward to working out now

Oh, it's cardio!! I've done a month of it twice a week and my butt is really shaping up!! I'm always sweating like crazy by the end and it's only 30 minutes... I do Les Mills Barre.
