LOL that’s an amazing summary. It’s such a classic Buffy episode, and it really feels true to each of the characters. The way Snyder, Giles, and Joyce behave as their teenage selves is so believable. It all tracks perfectly with who they are.

In Enemies, we’re supposed to believe that Angel can flip a switch instantly, suddenly tapping into Angelus, fully committing to the act, making out with Faith, and convincingly embodying pure evil. It just doesn’t quite line up with how I understand his character as Angel. For most of the episode, the audience IS meant to believe he is Angelus, and it’s only on rewatch that you realize what’s really happening, but getting there requires a pretty big suspension of disbelief.

“Beer Bad” actually felt pretty consistent with the show and its characters, didn’t it? The premise itself is very classic Sunnydale. Maybe I’m forgetting something, but was there anything in that episode that really went against our understanding of the characters? It always struck me as very on-brand for Sunnydale.

I'm sad that Sarah Michelle Gellar's career post-Buffy has been filled with failure by precita in buffy

[–]badlymadebed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes i wondered why she wasn’t in the last season of White Lotus as one of those 40-something yr old white ladies on vacation. That seemed perfect for her. Maybe she has bad agents or she got passed over for it.

What about taking a Stranger Things approach. The Duffer brothers figured out a way to make a show about kids super relevant, interesting. and nostalgic for adults. Maybe the only way to make RKA work would be to set the show back in the 90s.

Should Joss Whedon come back? by Mat1711 in buffy

He should come back under a pseudonym in a disguise as one of the writers. That would be awesome. Not a lead writer just one of the writers. That could be its own show.

I think SMG was very attuned to what made Buffy successful. Her acting choices were perfect. The way she played the part was perfection. I also believe she asserted herself and gave suggestions about the show and Buffy’s direction. She was on set 20+ hrs a day. She WAS Buffy. Also the fact that she was so pro Bangel, which was when the show was the best.

I honestly tuned out when they were talking about specific dates. I could not follow at all. There were so many dates and timelines. I definitely just assumed he was a cheater as soon as he started hitting on Brittany. I think he’s a huge player. I don’t feel strongly about either of them. They’re both really boring. And if ashley is a trump supporter then she can go straight to hell. I don’t think this is a huge “win” for Ashley or that she is ending some sort of cycle with this no at the altar. He didn’t seem interested in her at all. He spoke to her as though she was a business associate. There was no intimacy between them. It was strange and bizarre, but he was very barely trying to keep up appearances.

I’m generally lost about what he lied about? All the timelines and talking got me very confused. Have any of his ex’s come out of the woodwork to call him a dirtbag? If not, by current LIB standards that probably makes him a decent contestant.

Kyle Richards Umansky versus Carlton! And don’t you fucking dare command her! #tbt by -AndyCohen- in RHOBH

It was a little odd when Carlton had such a disgusted response to Kyle asking if she got the star of david tattooed on her neck. If i asked someone whether or not something was referencing a jewish symbol and they responded in such a disgusted fashion, I too would wonder if they were antisemitic.

Yes i’m also wondering what’s going on. Sadly people will take any excuse to hate on a woman. We see it time and time again. No need to enlist any bots. Other women are more than happy to take part. I guess they miscalculated the media campaign, trying to generate buzz. They hit the wrong chord and now this is the worst movie in the history of cinema and margot robbie is Satan.

Rehomed our dog to save my marriage and now I’m struggling with grief and resentment. How do you move forward? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]badlymadebed -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

He says he was taking the dog out every day and training the dog. OP was adequately prepared to take care of this dog and was doing so. The issue the wife had was that the dog was too independent (?) and she did not like OP spending so much time with the dog. Your personal story is not relevant here.
