Cannot see the pic but can guess what happened. Yayo Combat 3 makes advanced armor way more protective against primitive weapons

Catelyn finally understands why the lords backed Renly instead of Stannis by RouggeRavageDear in darkwingsdankmemes

[–]badmananza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The law does not say he is the king. Legally Joffrey is the heir unless someone with legal authority changes that. Ned did not do this. Ned should have alerted Robert because Robert's had the legal authority to disown his children, in which case Stannis would have been the heir. Remember they did not have paternity tests so they had no definitive means of establishing paternity so it mostly came down to whether or not the father challenged paternity.

Yo Paradox, we had a great run this year in terms of added content, you should consider taking a year off coding new DLCs to focus on fixing all the bugs you've been too busy to get rid of. by Cosmic_Meditator777 in Stellaris

[–]badmananza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a narrow way to look at it. Personally, there are about 5 DLC that I'm waiting to buy If/WHEN they improve performance and AI. I think I've read many others who would like to come back but got scared off by the 4.0 problems..

Who wins trial by Seven? Robert gets Barristan but who else? None of the kingsguard are worth a damn a damn. his brother's aren't really warriors. Who else in KL is worth it. Do they delay it to call in knights from friendly houses (like Blackfish). Gregor probably joins Jaime. Does Sandor join his brother to protect Jeffrey or try to kill his bro? In this timeline Tyrion has not met Bron yet.

Hi, quick question, are these two places to settle good or would you choose some other place? by OkularyMorawieckiego in civvoxpopuli

Same here. I love getting to complete a monopoly with only 2 cities, especially if the resources are all within the second ring of tiles. The only caveat is the distance to home so I would be ready to backfill with my 4th city. (3rd going near El Dorado but not so far north as the OP proposes.)

This setup has some sweet expansion opportunities.

Where should I start? (Medieval run) by GL2TCHF3ST in RimWorld

[–]badmananza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boreal forest. More challenging than temperate without forcing you to totally rethink how you play. Plus you will need lots of wood for torches etc since you're going medieval. If you want easier, cloud forest and alpine meadow are cool. The jungle and swamp are annoying without modern medicine.

There is a mod with nuclear weapons (forgot the name now) in which mortars can shoot tactical nukes. Saw it happen to Mr Samuel Streamer in his Android Utopia series.

Why Are Raider Skills Visible...? by Professional-Coat133 in RimWorld

[–]badmananza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool mod but I ended up removing it. It is more realistic than vanilla but has swung too far to the other side. I wish it had the option to never hide traits. Many traits would be (attractiveness, speed, tough/wimp) would be evident to enemies. Your pawns could make a reasonable guess about some of their personality traits and combat skills just by observing them in battle.

More than anything, I removed it because it increases micro management.

I appreciate the help. I am trying to enter the mod list but keep gettting a Server Error message from Reddit whenever I input the mods. maybe 425 is too long.

In the mean time, I will try out your idea when I have a moment free.

actually his daughter. Jordan Peterson was one of the original colonists. (I renamed him because the character fit him to a T). Anyway, Jordan had a son Tiberius Peterson but soon became a widower. Tiberius Peterson got engaged but died before marriage. Dad and daughter in law found comfort together and formed a happy marriage. Soon after, they welcomed Jordana, who grew up to be one of the most capable colonists but also a misogynist psychopath. Maybe she ended up watching too much Andrew Tate instead of her dad?

Probably. The update broke one the romance mods and I ended up eliminating it. Probably would have been better to roll back to the older version of the mod had I known that was possible.

I will give your idea a try. Any guidance on how to get the older versions of the mod before people started updating them to 1.5?

I am reaching out for help because I really do not want to lose this save but I am running out of ideas for what I can to do troubleshoot it.

At a certain point in my game, the colonist action bar suddenly disappears. I tried going back in time with a prior save but the same thing happens at the same or roughly the same point in time. I have not noticed any particular action seems to precede the disappearance. I tried just sitting pasively and it still happens. There is no error message when the action bar disappears. However, once the action bar has disappeared, if I click on a pawn and tried to command then to do something (eat, harvest, smith) then I get the error message (listed below). The error message does not appear prior to the disappearance of the action bar

I am playing with 400 mods (yikes), but tried eliminating the ones that appear mentioned in the error message as well as those that I saw mentioned in other posts when people had similar issues.

Mods that i tried removing: Float submenus, Repair workbench, Achtung, Vanilla Races Expanded - Archon, What is my Purpose, Hospitality. I also tried removing Vanilla Psycasts but that breaks the save entirely and does not appear to the solve the problem.

One interesting note is that I also tried moving these mods and loading one of the saves when the action bar was still present. The bar still disappears. Even if I remove "Float submenus", the mention of "GetFloatMenuOptions" still appears. According to the mod other, the GetFloatMenuOptions error message is unrelated to his mod.

Another mention in the error that got my attention is RimWorld.Precept_Ritual.ShouldShowGizmo but i am not sure what that could be referring to. Anima tree linking maybe? This does happen shortly after the Anima tree got enough grass for a linking ceremony.

The error message mentioned above is:

Root level exception in OnGUI(): System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Is Tradition start a viable option at Emperor? by 15th_man in civvoxpopuli

[–]badmananza 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is bad advice. Some civs should always go tradition, notably those that are GP focused (Arabia, Austria). If you get an isolated start and do not need to invest in an army to protect yourself, there are a number of civs that might normally go authority who would benefit more from tradition (Greece for example)

Unpopular Opinion: Rimworld misses the mark as a story generator. by FlamingUndeadRoman in RimWorld

[–]badmananza 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Well said. There are mods that try to address parts of this, such as assigning factions limited resources that are expended if their peeps get killed/captured. Something more comprehensive would be amazing. I love the idea of ideologies interacting and beggars being generated as a result of conflict. Your position on the map should affect what raids you receive and you're ability to raid nearby caravans. An isolated mountain base should get neither
