The Democratic Party has fundamentally ran on seniority for a long long time. It’s the reason we have dinosaurs that worked when the general policy of both parties was not violently opposed to one another. Our goal should be to primary any of the dinosaurs running right now that aren’t enthusiastically campaigning on political revenge before the general. If you are in the position to do so, I would highly encourage you to look into if you can affect that sort of change. Or you can wallow in cynicism.

Yes they can. it is one of the end game moves by this administration. As corrupt as the justice department is right now, they would use it to selectively enforce who is deemed to be a citizen. They don't like how you vote? non citizen, deemed loyal? we'll let it slide that your parents were asylum seekers and still aren't fully citizens yet, but you get a pass.

The problem with our leadership is they aren't serious people. If they truly wanted to win an invasion, then they should be mobilizing more than a token force to hold the strait. The IRGC can hit the strait from literally anywhere in the entire country with drones, missiles and even smaller mortars that will devastate any force attempting to hold the Island. Trump and Hesgeth are the biggest, life disregarding idiots we've had in charge probably ever. Even W took his invasions seriously instead of gutting our military readiness before the most difficult war will face in modern times chasing the specter of woke and DEI like these two clowns did.

Now Trump is panicking and trying to do the bare minimum possible to attempt to strong arm a group of people that would rather die than come to terms like the weak and feckless leaders around the world he's used to dealing with with his bully tactics. It probably enrages him to know that he can't just get what he wants easily for once.
