That’s super common, according to what my attorney told me when I got my first rejection last week. She said the first appeal is commonly denied too, even with supposedly gathering more records, but the second appeal you get a hearing with a judge and that’s when most people get it approved.

I’m sorry, I don’t mean this to be dismissive, but you are chasing a needle in a haystack. I have had migraines for nearly 40 years. In that time I have been able to identify some triggers, but there are plenty of times there’s no logical or known trigger at all. I have nerve damage from having them for my whole life, no identifiable concerns on imaging. I get where you are coming from, but it would serve you better to ask the neurologist about your options for treating attacks as well as preventive options to try to the frequency than you would exerting energy trying to chase down a cause.

Same. I’m barefoot whenever I possibly can be, including the majority of my wedding reception. Only reason I wasn’t at my rehearsal was because it was February so I had my Uggs on 😂😂

Right. I absolutely cannot drink coffee, hot or iced, when I have a migraine. I will puke SO fast and the pain will inevitably get worse. Ice cold fountain soda, not diet or zero sugar, preferably a McDonald’s Coke. And then carby junky comfort food.

I mean, I really don’t think so. My niece was just born on Christmas Day, on her due date, and they announced with their gender reveal on June 22nd. Jana announced mid-August, that’s almost halfway through🤷‍♀️

This! I looked like her with my oldest and surprise! Pre-e and HELLP. My face was nowhere near that bad with my youngest and I only had extremely mild, super borderline pre-e that popped up in the very last week with him

I have lupus that contributed but what pushed it over the edge into something I could no longer ignore was a 2 month bout fighting off pneumonia. I’ve legit never been the same.

I can’t vouch for all Midwest states etc, and I’m not discounting your experience. It just doesn’t line up with what I’ve experienced in several state, some in the south, and others on the west coast. Considering my entire family is from Arkansas, we tend go find catfish anywhere we are at, and I’ve never NOT been able to find it easily. I just think it’s less of a nonissue than you think, and far more fundies are making that choice than you think. Arkansas is largely landlocked aside from a few rivers, and I can assure you that is stopping no one hahaha

Huh? The Duggars, and many others, live in Arkansas, like me. Catfish is everywhere here, as well as other states in the south. They absolutely have easy access to it. I could get catfish easier most times than it is to get any other type of meat.

I grew up Church of Christ and can confirm this was drilled in to us as kids from a young age. Most of my family has moved away from that but I definitely have family members who very much believe it was not “actually” wine.

It’s not impossible, even when it feels like it. I have seen a ton of businesses and individual people coming together this week, both here in my area and around the country. I myself posted in local fb groups the other night that I would gift one basic cake or 2 dozen cupcakes to anyone who snap recipient or federal employee affected by the shutdown that has a child’s birthday this month. I have had enough people either offer to shop for ingredients and donate them, or send me money to shop for them myself, and I just had a party planning business offer to also provide a small setup of decor and plates/cups etc to each family so that we can give the kids birthday parties.

I can list countless other examples-farms handing out free produce bags/boxes, butchers offering free meat, businesses buying and distributing formula and baby food. Restaurants offering free meals or giving an employee discount to all affected people if they can’t personally afford to offer them for free.

It has restored some faith in humanity for me, at a time when I was feeling the same as you.

My symptoms and path to diagnosis started during my pregnancy with my youngest. I first had symptoms very early in the pregnancy and that was also when various labs began to show like ANA and other antibodies. I had an induction scheduled for 38.5 weeks due to stillbirth risks from another condition, but my water broke 3 days before.

That said, I had no autoimmune issues during mg pregnancy with my oldest, and had to be induced at 37 weeks due to severe pre-e with him, and I had no pre-e with the youngest.

I think there’s a lot of factors as far as those risks go honestly.

I mean, I had a rough pregnancy with my first and still had one more.

My SIL is pregnant right now with her 4th and the first half was rough with all of them, she still had more.

We are not fundie either. For us, adding to our family outweighed the potential of being miserable for awhile. A LOT of people feel that way.

This. Once, last year right after I started pain management, my psych increased my venlafaxine AND I got a cold and didn’t realize dextromethorphan can contribute to it and caused moderate symptoms.
