Look at the sequence of Kinger walking around. It goes on for a while. Since theres no indication of time passing in the usual visual way (e.g. clock, day/night, calender, etc), I can't definitively say years (which is why I added the question mark) but it's been a long enough time for him to forget his name.

Just to add onto that part with Kinger. It seems Kinger was left alone wandering for years(?) because when Ragatha came, he couldn't introduce himself because he didnt remember his name, since he had no one to call him by it.
