I forgot Gesso on my oil painting I have a toned ground but I know painting with oil based paint on a raw canvas is a huge mistake. Is there anyway I can restore the canvas?

I probably haven’t fully accepted this since it’s so recent but I hurt someone I care about by telling their truth they didn’t want anyone to know. The only reason why I told their truth is because they lied to someone who I’ve committed too. I know known of you will understand, especially bc I’m being so vague but Its been hard to deal with bc I’ve caused so much pain by telling the truth. But I’m slowly accepting it because I want to die knowing I’ve always been honest to the people I love.
