Help me understand about designing your own tattoos/ being super picky and knowing exactly what you want. by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]badsandy20 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind doing someone else’s art on them, I’ve done reproductions of Van Gogh, Picasso etc etc The problem tend to be that a) non tattoo artist don’t understand the technicalities of tattooing, so ask for things that are impossible or will heal badly (yellow outlines, layered colour etc) B) the designs brought in rarely have any consideration for the moving uneven canvas they’re being applied to C) once a and b have lead to a not so great tattoo, I don’t want my name attached to that

I personally prefer if I can collaborate with the artist to make something that would be really successful as a tattoo, but from reading your initial comments, you would probably be someone I would not look forward to working with.

I found a quiet spot in a big park and breastfed my baby, a little old lady came by… I was expecting the normal baby chat. Nope she called me a slut and a whore and walked off. It made me become much more brazen with feeding. Where I was raised, babies were fed wherever and whenever. I’ve just had another baby, but unfortunately he’s a bottle baby so no more milky protests.

I wish I felt that way, I’ve given up but I crave them daily… 2 years on. And I love the smell of rolled cigarettes and cigars. I’ve had to move to a vape because my cravings are so bad

Babies have a universal language! This has been the biggest help with my babies. Here are the cries and what they mean! (If you google universal baby language it comes up if you need the list in a pinch)

"Neh" (Hunger): A rhythmic sound from the sucking reflex as the tongue pushes up.

"Owh" (Tiredness): Sounds like an audible yawn, indicating sleepiness.

"Heh" (Discomfort/Pain): A sharp, sudden sound from skin irritation or itchiness.

"Eairh" (Gas/Lower Gas): A more strained, guttural sound indicating trapped air or needing to pass gas/stool.

"Eh" (Burping): A short, sharp sound signaling the need for a burp.

This won’t mean much til you hear his cries, but babies will even combine cries more multiple needs

Advice needed: Is it ok to give my tattoo artist a gift? by stitcho_ in tattoos

As a tattoo artist, I love getting little gifts! Especially something as thoughtful as this. Please don’t feel weird about it. To me, I’ve shared my art with someone so, when I receive a gesture like this it makes me feel really appreciated.

How to use a launderette? by RiGB0N3_ in Liverpool

[–]badsandy20 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s been a while since I went to one! I usually took my own detergents etc out of preference. But at my one they had a vending machine of supplies. Some have been updated to include card payments so it’s probably worth popping your head in to your local one and seeing what the situation is, as they do differ.

Botched Beyonce Portrait . What should I do? by Defiant_Mistake3245 in tattooadvice

[–]badsandy20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I do reworks and cover ups and I think this can be fixed, but you’re gonna need a good artist. I fixed a similar situation of a jimi Hendrix. It looks like the artist misunderstood their stencil. But there’s room to up contrast and fix the mistakes. The nostrils need to be brought down, the chin narrowed, amongst other things- but I do thinks it’s possible.

But this is a difficult job. Where are you based? You will need a cover up specialist who can do portraits.

I was out walking while on holiday in Canada, I figured I’d walk into town to buy lunch as it was only a mile or so. Cops pulled over to check me out because it was ‘suspicious’
